There are so many beaches in Pupukea, whether you want to...
There are so many beaches in Pupukea, whether you want to surf, snorkel or swim there is a beach for you! The beaches are beautiful and clean. There aren't too many hikes in the area. The Pillbox hike by the elementary school is beautiful! And it's less than 2 miles from Foodland. Foodland has all that you need to eat, but if you want food that you don't have to make there are several food trucks right next door. (If you want more food and shopping options Haleiwa is only a 15 minute ride away - 15 to 25 minutes on the bus) The North Shore is refreshingly undeveloped and almost everything closes by 9pm. It's quiet and beautiful and the laid-back, easy-going pace is perfect for anyone who just wants to relax and refresh.SarahUnited States - 10Scored 10
We loved the beaches and the location.
We loved the beaches and the location. It was rustic, clean and the people were far friendlier then on Waikiki beach. We never had the time to visit the other islands, but at least the visit to the north shore showed us the real HawaiiharjinderMalaysia

This is the Hawaii I love, being near the ocean in natural beauty, near locals, no high rises, no freeway, and of course private outdoor showers are awesome. There were wonderful guests to mingle with and there is a real fully equipped kitchen for meals. You have a very short walk to the beach where you can surf or soak in the view. Just relax and take a break.

Surfing beaches a couple of miles away, friendly staff and nice beds. I would highly recommend the private room vs the dorm, because the experience is definitely idyllic in private room if you can afford it.
