Good buffet breakfast at reasonable price. Excellent dinner one night in hotel restaurant. Very good shuttle service to and from the airport. Ideal place to stay for one or two nights when in transit by air or train (fast train connection from main station in Rome to airport). Fiumicino is an interesting working fishing town - plenty of good fish restaurants serving the days catch. Worth walking around the town, fishing canal and marina. Relief from the hustle of the normal tourist areas of Rome.

Fiumicino is best known for its access to the Eternal City through Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Despite this recent claim to fame, Fiumicino includes several archaeological sites around the ancient harbors of Ostia and Portus. It's also an important fishing center and summer resort, especially along the beaches and coves of Isola Sacra.
Hosting the busiest airport in Italy and the sixth busiest in Europe, the town has grown in a series of services that fit with these suburban functions. Examples are the Fiera di Roma conference center, or the Parco Leonardo recreation center.
The town of Fiumicino is 20 miles from central Rome, while Da Vinci Airport is 19 miles away from the Italian capital. The remains of Ostia Antica are less than 6 miles away.
Like many airports in the world, you can find hotels in Fiumicino Airport directly on its premises, providing effortless access to your flights.
Since most Fiumicino hotels are in the Isola Sacra area, you might get the chance to enjoy the Tyrrhenian beaches and the tasty Italian seafood.

Not enough people working check in.
Not enough people working check in. Only one person and one who seemed to be involved with an issue of another guest( even after that guest left the desk). It wasn’t a long wait but if they had had two active persons checking folks in it would have been better. A/C was hard to regulate and no matter how many times we adjusted it , felt like a refridgerator. There were no written directions anywhere and we did not see a phone to contact the front desk.
Although the shuttles to the airport are not run by Hilton, they were quite taxing. There were two older individuals waiting in motorized scooters to board and the driver never lowered the ramp and quite rudely left without them. He took corners with no regard to passengers at all. A real white knuckle ride!
The taxis outside the Hilton were charging 50e for the 2 mile ride ..

Staff were excellent, location is good, and the facilities in the local area were very good. The local sea food is excellent. Sea front is best place to eat. Taxis and shuttles are reasonable. You dont need to go to Rome. The local council needs to clean up the area

We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home.
We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home. The accommodation was really close to the airport and Costantino helped me organise a shuttle to the airport.
The place was lovely and clean and the communication was very good. Breakfast was supplied and it was amazing.
As we had a late flight we were able to leave our luggage at the place while we explored Fiumicino.
Would highly recommend Il Piccolo.

Fiumicino is a charming and real town without the trappings...
Fiumicino is a charming and real town without the trappings of tourism. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops that seem to cater to more locals than tourists. It was fun to wander about and soak up the atmosphere of this real fishing town.
my stay in this hotel was due to a over-night connection in Fiumicino Airport. the room was clean but very small, I had a big luggage and the only way I could open it was by placing it in front of the frige - so that I couldn't open the fridge... the furniture is a bit old, but still okay. the bed was not very comfortable, but it's okay for a single night stay, I guess. Breakfast is very good, a lot of cakes, but poor choise for salty breakfast. the shuttle to the airport is very useful!
We chose this hotel because it was only 4km from Fiumicino Airport. The staff were lovely and we had a good breakfast. It's very close to the ocean and lots of restaurants. We took a very overpriced taxi to the hotel and the driver insisted she could only take cash, but came to the party when I only offered a credit card. The hotel has their own shuttle service to the airport for 26 euros which was 10 euros less than we paid for the taxi. I would stay here again.
The location was perfect. The hotel is about 10 mins to Roma Fiumicino airport and easy to reach with the shuttle they provide. Also, there is a train station called Fiumicino Parco Leonardo just next to the hotel. But there was no noise to bother you. And there was a huge shopping centre nearby (just 1 minute away from the hotel). It was good for us to access the food court and grocery shop. The staff at the reception was also very helpful and friendly.
Very well run family hotel . Fantastic rooms . Very clean . The staff is very helpful . Great location close to the Fiumicino airport , but also very convenient to get to Rome with the express train from Fiumicino to Rome : 25 minutes . The hotel also offer a shuttle to the airport . Ask for a suite on a third floor : very large terrasse with seating area and jacuzzi at an additional cost but private and personal . Nice breakfast included in the price .
Ketty was a wonderful host, who offered fast & reliable airport pick-up and return. Breakfast had a large variety of fresh items. Refrigerator was available for guests' use. B&B has 4 rooms: 2 upstairs & 2 downstairs. We had Chambre 4, upstairs. The bedroom & en-suite bathroom were clean & spacious. On a previous trip, we stayed at one of the Rome airport hotels the night before a flight and the B&B was a much better experience for many reasons!
I loved this small boutique type hotel very much. It was very clean, quiet and breakfast was very very good. The hotel is situated 7-10 minutes drive from Fiumicino airport and offers transfer with nice car and polite driver.
All the receptionists were very helpful and during my stay I booked one more night at the hotel. For those who travel to or from airport or stay at Fiumicino to relax by the sea, this hotel is absolutely perfect!
This was a one night stay before catching our flight home. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable.
It was located in a small town close to the airport which was amazing to look out and watch the fishing boats in the harbor and take a stroll along the streets it made us feel like you were in a community with the locals. We didn't expect this so close to Rome Intl airport a nice change of pace from airport hotels.
We have stayed near Fiumicino a number of times before and after flights; Hotel Isola Sacra Rome is by far of the options. The staff is attentive, efficient, and kind. There is an inexpensive shuttle to and from the airport. We had a delicious meal when we arrived at 9:45 at night, 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. The property has a beautiful pool and is very well-maintained.
Clean, cozy and friendly. Luca is such a great host. It’s like staying with family. Luca is very welcoming and helpful, he offers shuttle service to and from airport and gives great advice on where to eat in Fiumicino. We will definitely return if flying to Fiumicino again. They also offer a wonderful breakfast! If you don’t like staying in big hotels, this is your place!
We needed a hotel near to Fiumicino airport since our flight was really early. We stayed only for our night. The location of the hotel is great for the specific reason and you can combine last minute shopping since shopping malls are next to it. The rooms are modern and clean and the staff really friendly to help us with the transfer to the airport
Good transfer shuttle bus running to a fixed schedule from Fiumicino airport. Around 10 minutes to the hotel.
Good sized room facing the Tiber outlet to the sea with occasional fishing boats passing.
Good restaurant for non-seafood dishes (almost all the local restaurants concentrate on fish).
This hotel is wonderful. It’s well located, close to both great restaurants and the Fiumicino canals. It was immaculate and staff was very helpful in getting transport to the airport and in very graciously opening the kitchen early so we could have breakfast before our departure.
The location of the hotel is excellent, really close to the Rome Fiumicino Airport Terminals and train station. It was very convenient to be able to walk to the terminal to catch a very early morning flight. The bed was very comfortable and staff were friendly and efficient
Extremely kind, helpful, smiling staff. Elevator! Immaculate, welcoming, quiet hotel tucked away on a nice, family friendly street, perfectly situated for access to Fiumicino Airport. Comfortable bed, excellent shower, perfect breakfast buffet with excellent coffee.
A perfect stop if you have an early flight. The hotel is 10 min away from Fiumicino Airport by taxi. And the hotel offers taxi service (20-25€). Our room was very clean and cozy. The girl who works at the reception was really welcoming, helpful and friendly.
The room was excellent. It was a bit pricey but probably not out of the range for a close to the Fiumicino Rome airport hotel. The attached restaurant was great and reasonably priced, especially their breakfast buffet which cost only 10 euros per person.
Very convenient hotel close to the airport in the little beach town of Fiumicino. The staff was super helpful and let us use the garden after checking out. It was a really nice stay.
