A very charming village. The people were very friendly.
A very charming village. The people were very friendly. Great pubs and live music (McGann's & McDermott's were the ones we visited). There is a spectacular view of the Cliffs of Moher from the parking lot of the ferry dock; our landlord recommended we go at sunset, and it was amazing! It happened to be high tide and the roaring waves made the scene even more astounding. Of course, the Cliffs are just down the road, and they are one of the best sights in Ireland.

Great music, fun and food. Excellent quality food in all pubs and hotels.You can walk between pubs but lack of street lights can make this dangerous at night...maybe there could be a store of hivis vests that could be swapped between pubs for those walking.

Doolin is a cute little town and is a great place to stay for close proximity to the Cliffs of Moher. There isn't much to do in Doolin, so I recommend staying there only to spend the night after visiting the Cliffs that afternoon or before visiting the Cliffs the next morning.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Doolin Pier is a 30 minute walk from front door for access to the Aran Islands. Property was unexpectedly spacious, quiet given location and visiting during peak tourist season (Lisdoonvarna Festival), and had a rather powerful shower. Fixtures etc. all working as expected. The property seems new and the room was clean and well designed. It was a comfortable place to stay. It was a room only and did not provide access to other parts of the property, which was fine with us. This is a convenient place to stay if visiting the Cliffs of Moher. The cottage had a great view and as only a short drive into the village. I highly recommend this location if you are spending a couple days in Doolin.
