We visited for the first time with our dog. We were a little nervous as we had not brought our dog away with us before (and he's a little barky with other dogs and new people). However, the staff made us feel very welcome, they provided water bowls and treats for the dog in the restaurant and the room which was a nice touch + dinner and breakfast in the hotel were delicious as well! We had a lovely experience overall.

The location was excellent, so close to the centre of town, the sea front and the NW 200 course, which was the reason we had come to Portrush. The hosts were really friendly and brought breakfast forward by an hour so we could get to our places to watch the NW200 in advance of the crowds. They also brought it forward by half an hour the following day so we could leave in good time to catch our ferry. The breakfasts were really good.

If you want a beach holiday with rocky walks and scenery thrown in then this is a good place. Easy bus ride away (two an hour) is the Giant’s Causeway. The helpful tourist office in the town hall has timetables and can tell you where the bus stop is as it’s located in an odd place.
Not so much to do in wet weather conditions but good places to eat that had plenty of room.

Great area to explore plenty to do for kids and lovely beaches. Lots of options for food and plenty of places to walk and explore. Just a pity the weather wasn’t great when we were there but still enjoyed it!

Lovely town on the North Coast to base yourself for all the excursions around. Fantastic beaches and plenty of good food places. Weather can change at a moments notice with sun, rain and the wrath of the Atlantic all in a day, come prepared. If you golf there are excellent golf courses.

As long as weather is good there is no better place to be than at Portrush. The beaches the food the pubs all great and the people always make you welcome.
General shopping would be limited however, but in reality when you go to portrush your not really wanting to shop.

I scheduled in Portrush because of a visit to Giants Causeway. I was pleasantly surprised with the city. It is a very clean upscale beach town. My only regret is not realizing The Harbour bar was also a restaurant. We did end up eating in a more trendy "European" restaurant and did not discover Harbour Bar until after dinner. As a traveler from the US, I would have preferred the old friendly feeling to The Harbour Bar and wish it popped up in a search for restaurants on Google.

A familu friendly place and very welcoming.
A familu friendly place and very welcoming. Plenty to do, with the beach, currys amusements and shops and cafes. The Jet centre and the giants causeway was a short drive and portstewart close by. Lovely place.
The apartment is awesome. It has three large bedrooms, a big sitting area and a full kitchen. The location is great -- it has an unobstructed view of Royal Portrush and the coast in the distance and is a five minute walk to Royal Portrush and 10 mins to city center. There is a super market within 5-10 mins driving distance. The apartment is complete with a full kitchen, dish washer, washer/dryer, etc. The owner was very communicative and informative. In short, a delight to deal with. I will stay here whenever I come back to Portrush.
The place is gorgeous. Denise is the incredible, the most helpful and understanding host. Unfortunately because of cancelled trains I was able to stay only 1 night here instead of 2 (which I regret incredibly!), still we were able to handle it with Denise graciously. As were said before the place is even better in real life than on pictures. Made me even think if maybe I should move to Ireland :)
Thank you for having me and would definitely recommend Primrose Place Portrush for everyone.
It was close to everything. Shop across road ,chippy , off license. Lidl just down abit . About a ten minute walk into portrush. The black folder was great it had maps and all local businesses phone numbers eg taxis restaurants. More details in it than you would get if you started in hotel
Our family had a lovely stay in the Portrush apartment. It was very spacious, clean, and a short walk down the beach to the Portrush shops and restaurants. Glynis was an excellent host & immediately responsive to any questions we had. We will be staying here on our next trip to the area.
Extremely generous host, great communication, amazed by the soft touches provided for guests. The flat is located in a central area and close to main sights in Portrush. I feel lucky to have been able to stay in Port Pour Deux and will be glad to stay here again if I return.
Hotel is very quaint, (it appears to have been a church at one time). Breakfast offered was exceptional. Location was a little ways from the center of town but walkable. It was nice being able to walk across the road and take a walking path along the ocean.
Everything, the staff is very friendly, the view is amazing from the restaurant and in general, room really clean and many small details to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast is included and it's really really good and full. I recommend this hotel a lot.
Loved everything! Such a cute hotel. From the booking.com photos it looked small but the rooms and decently sized. The interiors are so so cute! And the breakfast was amazing, so were the hosts/ staff. 11/10 I would say :)
Great place to stay. Owner was welcoming. Apartment was very clean and comfortable great location! Views were amazing. Lovely area quiet. Would definitely go back and recommend! Everyone loved it.
Gill is an excellent host - friendly and extremely welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Portview is very tastefully decorated with lovely views over Portrush. A super place to stay!
I liked the Port Hotel as it was central to all amenities. The staff very friendly and helpful and thr rooms very clean comfortable and spacious. Will be going back to stay again soon.
The location was great in Portrush. Parking was a ways away from the property but not bad. It took awhile to locate parking spaces where you could leave a vehicle overnight.
Very friendly accomodating staff, clean comfortable accommodation, near to portrush,Coleraine and portstewart, great food,we enjoyed our stay at Magherabuoy house hotel😊
this isn’t the first time I have stayed at the Atlantic. it’s a beautiful hotel and it’s set right in the middle of the centre of portrush so is so close to everything.
Lovely choice of cereals , fruit, yougart and juices . And excellent cooked choices as well . Location of hotel was perfect everything that Portrush has to offer .
