Boasting a spacious garden, Alderwood House is located 4 km from the village of Castlemaine, on the Dingle Penninsula along the Wild Atlantic Way. The award-winning, Blue Flag beach of Inch is 18 km from the bed and breakfast.

We wish we could’ve stayed more than one night. We should’ve used it as a hub for multiple nights. It exceeded our expectations, from booking.com I thought we were just getting one of many rooms at a home. We ended up getting a whole suite and breakfast in the morning. We were stuffed from the wonderful breakfast. We can’t believe how much Tim does to ensure a great meal and experience.

At the foot of the Slieve Mish Mountains in the Dingle Peninsula, The Anvil Bar B&B offers stylish and elegant rooms with flat-screen TVs. Guests can relax with open fires in the cosy, traditional pub.

The host Liz was an exceptional proprietor who knows the Dingle peninsula like the back of her hand. She was able to give us directions to remarkable sights that we would otherwise have missed. We were only planning one night at the Anvil but extended our stay another night. If you want to stay in an authentic Irish country pub the Anvil is your place

We stayed for just one night but enjoyed our stay nevertheless. Our room was huge, as well as the bathroom. So it should be a good place to stay for a longer period of time. The surroundings were nice and we took the opportunity for an evening walk. Bernadette is a great host and a very nice person. We had a great chat and she gave us some recommendations for our journey.

The B&B was ideally located in Castlemaine and was a charming older style house in a quiet area. The owner was very welcoming and gave us good advice on eating locally etc. The breakfast was delicious and kept us going for most of the day! We'll be back to stay again.
