The staff was friendly and helpful, when we asked about dining out or finding a laundromat. The full English breakfast was piping hot and delicious . There was also cereal and fruit on the side and lots of hot coffee, tea or cold beverages. We sat in the breakfast room and watched the boats go by. we also enjoyed the pub right downstairs for food and drinks.

Sandra and David were wonderful hosts and were on hand to provide and assistance, a fabulous breakfast each morning and to start the day with a laugh (thank you David). No problems with parking, which is very secure and it's a good location to catch the steam train from Pickering to Whitby.
