It is a very expensive place, with an awful traffic, reasonable public transportation (outside rush hours, please), and some interesting cultural activities. Although the city is deemed unsafe, in the more central/fancy areas, it is as safe any other big metropole. There are also very good shopping options.

If you secure yourself, if you do bot put yourself in a bad situation like going alone in the late night to somewhere yo do not know, this ofc attracts danger. Sao Paulo is very nice. I believe 3-4 days will be enough for the city. I highly recommend Ibirapuera Park. You can spend your whole day away from the chaos. And I can recommend Sala Sao Paulo. Monstermegacity. Unless you have something specific to do there, go somewhere else like Rio. Endless streets and tall buildings, felt like a city prison.
