Our 2nd time to stay at Borthwnog Hall. We loved it so much the first time(we stayed at the Deluxe Suite), so we decided to come back. This time, the deluxe suite was not available for the date we have booked, so we stayed at the cottage, which was separate from the main house. The apartment was spacious, clean, and has got all the essentials. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious, and the staff has always been friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful, incredibly preserved small market town. The weather didn't allow us to explore close surroundingds as we wished. The town itself has got plenty of pubs, cafes, gift shops, art shops. The parking was not good steep narrow road I think once inside the property there was 44 steps or stairs some very steep and narrow, wouldn’t recommend to guests with any type of mobility issues. Lounge furniture needs replacing very old and uncomfortable lounge smelt musty. One of the bedrooms very damp with mushroom type mould Growing on wall and carpet. Bathrooms very nice modern plenty of them. Everything you needed supplied in the kitchen. Beds very comfortable lovely bedding. A well maintained property, with delightful hosts. Breakfasts very good. Lovely gardens and views of the countryside/hills. Room facilities good, comfy & cosy. I plan to stay here again when next visiting the area. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Good base for lots of things. great walking area. I used it as a base for a golfing break as it's in the centre of a triangle of some great links golf courses incl St David's [Harlech], Aberdovey, and Porthmadog, And the spectacular Welshpool GC with amazing views over 5 counties! Beautiful thriving little market town with lots of unique...
Beautiful thriving little market town with lots of unique shops, as well as a few staples, and a big Spar. The restuarant that we went to (Y Sospan) was amazing. You don't need a car to get around town, and if you bring your bikes or walking gear, the estuary and mountains are yours for the views and swimming.

A lovely little town with many attractive shops and restaurants. We visited the tapas bar more than once. The food was delicious. It is an ideal location for exploring the Snowdonia area and for going south to Mid-Wales.

In the house you have everything what you need for your stay. Even the WiFi speaker. It really feels like at home. The village has nice selection of restaurants, pubs, coffee shop, supermarket as well as local wine merchant (where you can enjoy your wine in a cozy place). We stayed for couple of days with our friends, who’s been visiting from another country and all of us enjoyed it.

Samantha was a super host and looked after everyone perfectly. Dolgellau town is a 10 minute walk along a riverside footpath, several pubs and takeaways, Co op and Spar. Lovely and clean and has free sat which is a bonus as t.v reception can be a bit hit and miss in Dolgellau.
