Our stay was very short, just for the night.
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
We had a drink in the bar with a beautiful view.
Easy to find, easy to go back to Edinburgh.

Nothing. Booked another hotel as the room was not clean at all. Stains on the walls, mould on the wall and the bed sheets were dirty. Refused a refund and the staff were rude.

Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around.
Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around. There are lots of excellent restaurants and coffee shops. I had lunch at the Railbridge Bistro and a lovely dinner at the Thirty Knots restaurant. There are nice little shops to browse in. Queensferry is very near Edinburgh and there is an excellent train service into the city from Dalmeny Station.

Great place to base yourself for trips to Edinburgh or Livingston. Our son loved watching the trains cross the forth rail bridge, the aquarium and the ice cream at the little parlour. Breakfast at down the hatch was also delicious.

On this occasion, I did not stay long but it is a very interesting place with easy access to all parts of Scotland thanks to the Forth Bridges. There are small shops as well as supermarkets and lots of lovely places to eat, most with spectacular views while you eat. I think the best thing is just wandering around on foot, without needing a car, and exploring.

We stayed at Orocco Pier in the middle of the High Street which has fantastic views of the Three Bridges over the Forth River.
Enjoyed a great meal at Scott’s at Port Edgar Marina. Free parking for customers.
Lovely cafes and coffee shops available.
Parking can be difficult but we’ve managed each time we’ve visited.

The Dakota Edinburgh is very conveniently located near the international airport. The hotel/airport shuttle was always available. If you have an event at the Dundas Castle, this is the place to stay. It is a short mile from the hotel. Queensferry to Edinburgh is about a 1/2 hour drive.
It was great. The owner was very kind and solved all the problems we had. I couldn't speak much English, but she explained everything to me carefully. And when you go out into the hallway you can hear the parrots whistling. It's very pleasant. The bus stop to Edinburgh was just a 3-minute walk away, so the location was great. It's not a hotel, so it's a bit inconvenient, but the price is reasonable and the owner is a great person, so I'm very satisfied. Thank you very much.
Location was great - S. Queensferry wonderful in and of itself; perfect base for exploring Edinburgh (bus stop just a few steps away). The loft was perfect for our needs; nice kitchen, very comfy queen-size (or maybe king-size?) bed, well-equipped kitchen. Loved the video provided prior as a "user's manual". Every lodging has different systems (access, heat, etc); really appreciated not having to figure out how things work in the Loft.
We booked the Hawes at Queensferry for special reasons and were not dissapointed. I made a mistake with my credit card information but the staff at reservations were curtious and helpful and it was sorted out very quickly.the hotel is actually a row of converted cottages and the character and charm of each cottage has been skillfully maintained within the hotel. Food was excellent, breakfast incredible!
We enjoyed our short stay in the centre of Queensferry and well placed for an event we had to attend nearby. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was served in the main bar with a wonderful view of the Forth Rail Bridge. The food was good and plentiful.
If required, other bars and restaurants are close to this hotel but you may feel a strong attraction to remain here.
Staff were great - had a larger room than I expected for just one person. The breakfast choices are good and I tried the full Scottish including Haggis, black pudding and lorne sausage. I love South Queensferry so I always enjoying walking and eating in this little village. The bus to Edinburgh worked perfectly for me.
The property was very clean with modern conveniences and a lovely restaurant. The staff and drivers were extremely pleasant and accommodating. The availability of the shuttle made it easy to get to and from the airport. This hotel is also very close to a bus stop and train station making it easy to get to Edinburgh.
The location was central to Edinburgh, Stirling, and the roads that head to the Highlands. The house was extremely well kept, beautiful, impeccably clean, and had all the modern amenities. The instruction binder on-site was thorough and left no questions unanswered.
Lovely welcome, comfortable clean room with fab views. Perfect location for everything we planned. Managed to get free parking a short distance from the property. Plenty of eating places within south queensferry, overall a great stay
Perfect in every way ! Queensferry is just amazingly beautiful and charming.
Incredible breakfast, welcoming and lovely host.
Extremely comfortable and just 30mn from Edinburgh.
Would recommand blindfolded !
Easy to find as just off the Motorways. walkable to the rail station to Edinburgh and across the bridge. The village of South Queensferry very close and a great place with restaurants , bars and cafes etc
See above. Carole made us more than welcome and brought extra logs for the fire. South Queensferry is a perfect spot, easy walkable access to Dalmeny Station for a 20 minute trip to Edinburgh.
The Dakota hotel has been refurbished in the dining area since our last visit however the warm welcome, good food and expectations are still very high really great to have revisited
Location exceptional. House has character. Hosts extremely friendly and helpful. Abercorn estate and surroundings lovely. Good base for seeing Scotland especially Edinburgh.
