We received a very warm welcome. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable and everything is very clean. Guests can prepare themselves a "light" breakfast that most people will consider to be sufficient. The breakfast is included.
Offering a garden and garden view, Luxury Glamping Dome with views of the Burren is located in Boston, 35 km from Dromoland Castle and 39 km from Galway Greyhound Stadium.

Gort is a quiet country town.
Gort is a quiet country town. I love the old hardware store which still has a bar at the back. Visit ‘The Field’ for a gorgeous meal. It’s very ‘old time’ Ireland - and I’m Irish :) It’s an affordable location to your around the Burren, Kinvara, Ballyvaughan, Poulnabrone Dolmen etc. Only 30 minute drive from Galway.

I live near Gort and shop there every week so it was hardly an expedition. I'd say Gort isn't the most fascinating town in Ireland but it could be an interesting stop if you are interested in Yeats, it's very near Coole Park and also only a short drive to the Thoor Ballylee,

Gort is centrally located to many wonderful landmarks, the Gregory/Yeats heritage trail (Thoor Ballylee Tower, Kiltartan Musem, Coole Park), Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, Kinvara (a quaint village on the bay) and a great walk on Traught Beach. The town seemed small enough and distanced well from Galway to feel safe from excessive Covid-19 numbers 😊.

Outdated pink (used to be) carpet in the lift was curled in the corner and badly stained. The folding shower door kept jarring. The "hot" shower was tepid and the water gathered at the bottom of the tray because the plughole couldn't take the volume of water. My partner ended up having a bath because she was repulsed by water floating in the shower tray. We arrived down for breakfast and only half the display was available. In fairness the woman only charged us for one breakfast. Would I recommend the hotel? No. Would I stay there again absolutely not.

I had a lovely walk around the town of Gort, there are lots of interesting and historical buildings around. I felt safe and welcome, even at night. There were some attractive cafes and restaurants around but our hotel food was so good (The Lady Gregory) that we ate there, along with plenty of locals. There is a tourist office but it was closed when I visited, some nice boutiques, lots of small independent shops which is always an enjoyable experience, and a pottery studio. I would like to return to Gort and explore the town further.
Josephine is incredibly gracious and friendly. We were at her house for four nights and feel as though she and her husband, Pat, are family now. Josephine takes great pride in what she does, and she should. Josephine accommodated our desires for breakfast and provided a delicious meal. We've been to Ireland many times, and stayed in dozens of bed and breakfasts and can say, without hesitation, that Josephine is our favorite host and Naomh Colman is among the very finest houses. Being directly across from Kilmacduagh is a huge bonus!
Eileen was the most fabulous welcoming host, always cheerful and warm! Comfortable bed with beautiful views from 2 windows. Very quiet and private room. Gorgeous garden and grounds, in a peaceful setting. After our visit to the Cliffs of Moher, she surprised us with yummy slices of fragrant raisin bread, still warm from the oven. Well-equipped kitchen for us to use. We ate at her recommended restaurant, The Field, in Gort which had delicious food. Thanks for everything, Eileen!
Lovely B&B, great view of tower ruins across the road. A 5 minute drive to the closest town, Gort, which had some lovely food spots. Breakfast was delightful, had a full Irish both mornings. Beds were very comfortable. Josephine was the most welcoming host! I was travelling alone and had my birthday morning at the B&B. Josephine made the morning so special, even put a candle in a croissant to celebrate. Thanks for a lovely stay.
The breakfast was very poor quality for the price of the stay. The buffet had very little - no natural yogurt, not good selection of fruit. Hot breakfast - sausages bad quality, rashers hard. Staff young and unhelpful , need more training . Had to ask for tea/ coffee and toast twice . Toast half toasted . Not the breakfast I expected for the price of a room in Gort. Room nice but would be nice to have water replaced each day .
Our stay at Naomh Colman was so fun! We only stayed a night, but we absolutely loved staying next to the monastic ruins! They were so fun to explore at dusk before we headed into Gort for dinner! Josephine was a great hostess and made one of the most fantastic full Irish breakfasts I have ever had! Couldn't recommend more!!
This my favourite of the hotels I've stayed in around Gort / Galway. They have real bathtubs with plenty of hot water and there's a pool and sauna round the back though I've never used it. It's quiet also, no traffic noise. They also do a very nice carvery lunch which I often used to enjoy during shopping trips to Gort.
Josephine is the owner of this property and she is so friendly and treated us like family. The rooms are quite small, as is the bathroom, but they are clean and the bed was very comfortable. The B&B is several miles from Gort, but she gave us directions to several restaurants. We ate at Fields and it was very good.
We loved our stay at Cedar Lodge, Eileen is a fantastic host. We also really enjoyed meeting Lilly the little Jack Russell and taking her for a few walks. Such lovely home with equally lovely, friendly hosts. We would highly recommend Cedar Lodge B&B, it is so near to Gort which has lots of nice Restaurants.
Everything was wonderful. Really spacious and comfortable twin room. Kitchen and lounge facilities too. Bread, butter, coffee, tea, milk etc provided towards breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble from the hosts. Lovely spot in the countryside outside Gort. Quiet and good wifi.
Josephine was a great host. The surroundings, breakfast and room were excellent. Close proximity to lovely little villages such as Gort and Kinvara, and easy access to Galway and Shannon airport. Highly recommend the stay.
Great staff at desk and in the bar. Power went out in all of Gort and they were very accommodating and helpful with all the guests. Location is great for getting around Claire and Galway by car.
Eileen the host was very welcoming and made us and our children feel comfortable, recommended things to do in the area, would recommend and use again for our future visits to gort.
The hotel was lovely but I would not book with booking.com again as seemingly you lot did not include breakfast .but they gave it to us complimentary. Thumbs up for lady Gregory.
