Great little spot, really enjoyable break away from busy city life. Unbeatable views. A real throwback to how we used to live. We loved it.

Pretty well everything. Although I arrived at 11 am, asking to leave my bag, Geraldine greeted me warmly and said I could have my room straight way, which was a real bonus.
'Seacrest' is very handily located; close to the village and right beside the airport bus stop.
Although the bedroom was not large, it was perfectly adequate as I was travelling solo. Everything in it (and in the dining room) was of a high quality. No penny-pinching in this B&B. The bed was very comfortable. Cleanliness was of a very high order throughout.
Breakfast was cooked to order and my non-meat eating was well catered for. A freshly brewed cafetiere of coffee each morning was very welcome and a Nespresso coffee machine was available 24/7 for guests to use.
Featuring a shared lounge, Clai Ban is set in Kilronan in the Inishmore region, 4.7 km from Aran Islands. Each accommodation at the 3-star bed and breakfast has sea views and free WiFi.

We stayed in the two bed myself partner and two children. Perfect location host was lovely, bought snacks and a few necessities for us when we arrived which was lovely. House was spotless and was in a great location. Had everything you needed for cooking, a garden and also had loads of broad games for the kids. If I go back to the Aran islands I would definitely be staying here again 🙂
It is always a joy to visit Inis Mor. It is particularly enjoyable at this time of the year before the summer season kicks in. Plenty of walks and sights to see. If the weather is not good, there are the pubs where craic and chat are to be had. The music in Joe Watty's is worth checking out along with their beef caserole.

It is a wonderful place to look at the history of the islands and its culture and a place to visit the other islands. There are plenty of transport alternatives from the energetic person to someone who would find it difficult to walk and cycle around the island.

Inis Mor is a beautiful location.
Inis Mor is a beautiful location. Easy to get to via Ferry from either Doolin in Clare or Rosaveel in Connemara. Getting around the island by bike is great craic. The Wormhole is an amazing place to see and if you're brave enough to swim in.
We ate in Joe Wattys and in The Bar which was lovely. Fresh fish on both occasions. Great atmosphere. However, the last day of our stay was spoiled by the weather which turned very nasty and we decided to catch an earlier ferry back to the mainland.

We found Inishmor fascinating because of its beauty, history, and simplicity.
This island (the largest of the 3 Aran Islands) has about 800 residents, narrow, winding roads, a limited number of shops and restaurants, and a generous appreciation of tourists (and our tourist $$). We came by ferry (there are several ferry services), tho' there also is an airplane option. We parked our car in the ferry parking at Rossaveal, as no cars come on these ferries.
We appreciated being able to book a driiving tour after arriving on the island. We had thought we would rent bikes, but decided the narrow roads were daunting. Glad we were in a vehicle with an experienced Inishmor native driving!

First day and a half were absolute bliss, cycling around...
First day and a half were absolute bliss, cycling around Inis Mor in the stunning sunshine on a beautiful island, even though the heatwave made it a bit difficult to cycle around as there wasn't much of a breeze to help cool down.
On the second day, there was glorious sunshine again until around 3pm and then we got soaked from passing thunderstorm. Decided to cycle back to the B&B after it passed, not knowing that the storm hadn't even happened yet, and we ended up getting caught cycling in an orange level rain warning, raining so hard you could barely see and no shelter anywhere to be seen.
I can't blame anyone for the weather, however after the storm....
While waiting out the rest of the storm at the B&B, we rang ahead Joe Watty's bar to check what time they were serving food until, and we were told until 9:30pm.
We arrived at 7:40pm, only to be told that they have stopped serving food and would only serve us drinks.
We then tried the local spar/chipper down the road, only to be told they were not serving any new customers and were closing at 8pm.
And finally the BayView Restaurant said they would serve us drinks, but no food, but we could get takeaway pizza. We just got our takeaway pizza order in before they told other waiting customers that they were taking no more orders, which you could imagine didn't go down well as people in the queue would have found themselves in the same situation of waiting out the storm.
For a place which had every single B&B and camping site booked out for the weekend, this was an absolute disgrace, turning away anyone looking for food given that many visitors to the island would have no where else to go for an evening meal.
Excellent location to access the best beach, archeological sites, and the natural “worm hole.”. We walked from town (4 miles— 1 3/4 hour) with backpacks but other guests came on bikes or taxis. Deeply peaceful area. Comfortable rooms with a cozy lounge and large breakfast area. Make sure you watch MAN OF ARAN, docu-fiction filmed in the 30’s, available on the TV monitor in the lounge. Sean has deep history with the island— very knowledgeable and helpful. we rented bikes on site and rode around the island. A great experience. GO!
I highly recommend staying at Kilronan Hostel. I had an amazing experience. Met people of all different ages and from many different countries. The room was great and had a great bathroom. The facility is very clean and also has a great kitchen and TV Room. It was my first time staying at a hostel. I had an amazing experience. The hostel is located near bars, A Spar, and coffee shop. You can walk directly from the ferry or take a taxi. I definitely would stay here again. This establishment rates Five Stars and More.
The owner was so kind and generous. She offered us a lift into the center of the village our first day.
She gave us a map and showed us where everything was. She arranged bicycles for us and they were dropped to the accommodation.
The breakfast was delicious everyday. There is an old dog called Zeuz who stays outside, he is very gentle and loves to be petted.
Beds were comfy, shower was great. Location was away from noise but still close enough to travel in.
Price was excellent for a bank holiday weekend.
The cleanliness, facilities, staff and the owner Penny could not have been more welcoming and kind. Beautiful views, fantastic area for walking/hiking around the island. Tea/Coffee facilities and TV in your room. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked fresh every morning and with a full breakfast menu that you could mix and match to your liking. Sausages, rashers and eggs were unreal. Homemade brown bread was so tasty. Fresh orange juice and good strong coffee. Amazing!!
Cait and her husband are very good. It felt like we were part of the family. Cait was very accommodating and hospitable to the guests. The house is located few minutes walk from the pier, and its ambiance was so amazing. It was so clean and peaceful. I am totally satisfied with their superb service. I am suprised when they gave us a lift going back to the pier on our way home. Kudos Cait and husband!
Perfectly situated at the end of the pier and just next to a selection of bike and carriage rental options. Excellent Food within a 3 min walk. They allow luggage drop off prior to check in! Very nice rooms and good bathrooms. Breakfast was cooked to order with a selection of fruit, cheese, salmon, tea, coffee, cereal, etc
Clodagh and family made our stay absolutely wonderful. The rooms are very clean, beds comfy, and food delicious. If you have any questions about Inis Mor, just ask! if you’re catching a plane, it’s also about as close as you can get to the airport and the big beach, with stunning views all around.
We absolutely loved our time and Tigh Fitz and the wonderful proprietress Penny. Penny is welcoming, very helpful and a lot of fun. The breakfast, the sitting room with the fire and the quiet and wonderful activities available on Aran islands make it a perfect peaceful get away.
This was our second stay at the Aran Thatch Cottage. We enjoyed every minute. We rented bikes and were able to tour the entire island on our schedule! My three teenage girls said it was relaxing and peaceful!
The cottage has real charm. It's central location on Aran makes it an excellent base to explore the island by foot. Taxi drivers were available when needed, and provided all the local knowledge we needed.
Sean was a very nice host. The location is in a really peaceful und beautiful landscape. The Wormhole and Dun A. are close. We could rent bikes to reach the pier.
A beautiful setting, with everything you need is need. The accommodation is set up in a thoughtful way that feels like you are home and very suitable for families.
Beautiful location, very welcoming host, large beds and en suite accommodations. The rooms have great views and it is easy to find. Very helpful and kind host.
