Kinsale is a cute little town. Beware. Not easy to drive in. Good place to spend a few days.We used it as a base for going to Mizen head, Baltimore and other places south of Cork. Also note, and this is very common in Ireland, don't get up a the crack of dawn and expect to find a place open for breakfast. A few opened at 8 but more often opened at 9 and even 10. Earlier than 9 were few and far between. Those that are tend to be crowded for obvious reasons.

It was disastrous, my wife decided to go down the town for a walk around as she was walking she noticed foreigners watching her every move and they then started to pair up and follow her, she felt so threatened that she had to go into spar shop and wait for me to collect her. Would never visit there again.

Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away.

Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away. There are several excellent restaurants where you will have unforgettable experiences. The Black Pig and Finns Farmcut are amazing. Breakfast can be hit or miss, The Lemon Leaf and OHK were excellent. If the weather allows the walk out to Charles Fort is lovely, with a pint of Murphy’s at the Bulmans. The views at the Old Head of Kinsale are breathtaking, and Garretstown Beach is stunning. The tour and tasting at Kinsale Mead is fascinating and a unique highlight. Be careful choosing where to stay, as standards are not reflected by star ratings, and the centre can be noisy. Parking is challenging with two hour max at the central car park, better at SuperValu but you’ll need to move your car overnight.

We arrived later in the evening but were welcomed wonderfully. If you drive to the hotel, know that parking is only what you find on the street. Our room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was nice. There isn't an elevator available so if you are on the 3rd floor like we were, be prepared to pull your bags up the stairs. Be sure to book a paid breakfast with your room reservation. It was soooo good and one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks. A good breakfast gave us the energy to tackle a busy day. Kinsale is a lovely town and even mid-week on a foggy fall day, we loved walking around.

Fantastic location. Right in the middle of the town so it's so close to everywhere. Olivia at reception was a great help with local knowledge and swiftly booked us in. We were in room 4 overlooking the main street, a huge room! Bathroom is small but adequate with a fairly smallish corner shower but met all our needs. The full Irish breakfast was huge! Very nice breakfast area and the staff were excellent. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel as we preferred to eat out and about in Kinsale but the hotel restaurant appeared busy

The hotel is located very centrally in Kinsale. It was within easy walking distance of everything you wanted to do. Most of the staff were very personable and offered good tips for restaurants and activities we were interested in. Our room was comfortable, spacious and updated with adequate outlets. The restaurant offered excellent breakfasts. Be aware! Their scrambled eggs are made with 4 eggs, but you can make it as individual as you want. Nespresso in the rooms made wake up pleasant. Dinners there were excellent.

nice clean bright room. We overlooked a childrens playground which was quite noisy. The location is brilliant, and can walk to the centre in a few minutes. On the night of arrival we didnt eat out. There was a chipper a couple of doors up (Dino's) Would go back just for their fish and chips. Weather was lovely. We had a wedding in the Trident Hotel, which was on the doorstep so a very enjoyable experience in Kinsale.

Location was very good and within easy walking distance to everything in the cute town of Kinsale. Room was fairly small but very clean. Very nice amenities (shampoo, conditioner, water) and as we chose the bed and breakfast option, we were given €15 per person at the amazing restaurant downstairs in the facility. The Eggs Benedict was simply to die for - the best I have ever had

Kinsale is a pricey area and this accommodation was a great value for the area. Awesome location, just a short 5 minute walk down the hill to town. Incredibly clean, spacious, comfortable room in a secure building and a safe neighborhood. Loved having a designated parking area. The breakfast far exceeded my expectations, it was the best that I had on my entire trip.

One of the best Irish breakfasts I ever had in a hotel. The dinner in the evening was excellent. Both the bar and the restaurant where busy both nights that we stayed and the staff where very friendly and cheerful with everyone. Shower in room was very good and the bed very comfortable. A pleasant hotel to stay in. Would be happy to return sometime in the future.

We had a large comfortable room with river views from the balcony. There was a fabulous choice at breakfast from fresh fruits, various cereals and yoghurts followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice. Best white pudding we have tasted. If you like walking there is a scenic walk from the hotel into the town of Kinsale with incredible views of harbour.

Beautifully located hotel with spectacular views over Oysterhaven and impressive atrium. Excellent reception staff. Welcoming, friendly without being obsequious and well informed. We observed delicate and tactful management of a potentially difficult situation. Lovely grounds. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Well designed bathroom.

Lovely welcome from all staff. Room was spotless and comfortable. Best breakfast experience. The pancakes and fried breakfast were amazing! Only stayed one night but would stay longer in the future if visiting Cork again. Two parents and two children in a family room worked well. My 7 year old said he liked our “hotel house” the best.

Extremely clean rooms (normally carpet on the floor leads to my allergies acting up, but this was not the case here) and friendly staff. The breakfast was about the best we had in Ireland as well. The house was nice with cosy sitting areas.
