The location was amazing couldn't of asked for better. The bar adjoining the hotel was lovely and a free drink voucher was given to use there which was an added bonus. The rooms were big and spacious too.

The facilities were great and the room exceeded my expectation. A lot of places take photos with a wide lens to make it look more spacious, but our room really was very spacious and comfortable. Especially after coming from London where the reverse was true. We did not initially book the rooms with the hotel breakfast however we did change our mind on site and it was fantastic, they provide a delicious buffet style breakfast and also offer special orders such as fried eggs or waffles at no additional cost, simply just ask a server. On our last evening I ventured down to the gym and was pleasantly surprised how very good the gym facility was. Very well stocked on gym equipment! Suffice to say, a repeat at The Spencer Hotel next time I'm in Dublin is a high likelihood!

Stillorgan is predominantly a suburban, residential area so not really for tourists. However it is easily accessible to the city center by bus and also you can take a 15 minute or so walk to the Luas (light rail system) which also brings you to the city center or even Dundrum shopping center which has cinemas, restaurants and mini golf for those rainy days with the kids.

Fabulous old hotel with lots of well preserved history. Easy to reach from the N11 coming from the Motorway. Area is lovely and peaceful, had to stay there because of the nearby Embassy which is reachable by walking.

The room was very run down and very old fashioned.
The room was very run down and very old fashioned. Dont know how it has a 5 star rating. I've stayed in 4 star nicer and more modern than it. The noise level was crazy. People from a wedding going in and out if eachothers rooms through the night. We reported it by phone to the duty manager. He offered us a different room but that long into the night we just didn't want too. He also said there was no noise so it was like he was saying we were lying. Put at a drafty terrible table for dinner. Asked to be moved.told no and then witnessed other residents being moved when they asked could they. Will not return.

your hotel was hopeless no heating,no soap liquid or other, ridiculous position of Tea coffee machine and kettle, Italian restaurant only. Had to walik through a kids play area with suitcases to get to elevator. No stopping at front of hotel so long walk with luggage. Breakfast area all chopped up with pillars not enough seats.

I booked the Stillorgan hotel as it was close to our daughter who rents near by and she was able to pick us up and we all travelled together to the musical Grease in Bord Gáis, most enjoyable. Then we all met again for breakfast in the hotel the next morning. So a most enjoyable and convenient time was enjoyed by all.
The room was very clean and comfortable with all the facilities we required. The breakfast was very tasty with lots of options, my dad particularly enjoyed his porridge and berries. Fresh hot coffee to order was great. The staff especially the young Indian man on reception who was working the evening shifts was absolutely fantastic as were all other staff we came across. Plenty of taxis when needed to drive us into the city. The interior and exterior of the hotel was stunning as were the front and back gardens.
I've stayed in this hotel during the conference held on the UCD campus. The hotel provides service that could be expected from the 4* facility. It is a decent place with a reasonably good relationship between price and quality. In the vicinity of the hotel, there are stops for bus No 700 traveling from the airport. It is quite convenient and basically using the taxi to get to the hotel is not needed thanks to this option. The bathroom is spacious, with many places to locate your own things.
The room size was amazing and we'll set out.
Coffee making facilities are available and that helps.
Insulation is a problem, there is 16mm double insulated aluminum windows but you hear all the cars driving past.
Room main door is not sealed at all , you can hear someone whisper in the corridor, there where people partying on the same floor and we did sleep a wink.
Definitely not a family hotel.
But still very friendly staff and good atmosphere and value for money.
Kind Regards Rui
We only spent one night in the Talbot Stillorgan. The room was quiet and spacious and the bed very comfortable. We chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel but had a bar lunch when we arrived which was good. The staff were helpful and welcoming. There is free parking which is great. The hotel is located outside the main city centre but on a great bus line so getting into town was easy. It was reasonably priced and I would stay again.
The hotel has beautiful surrounding gardens and bar and restaurant areas, the bedroom was spacious, nicely furnished. Breakfast was buffet-style, with eggs cooked to order, the service was swift and food hot and flavourful. We also dined in the upstairs terrace bar, this was tasty but not truly outstanding. A good Guinness though!
Hotel and grounds are beautiful the room was very comfortable my wife had a treatment in their Spa and said it was fantastic the staff were very helpful organising flowers for the room as an anniversary present would love to stay again when their restaurant is back open.
The whole experience was fantastic! I will stay there again! The rooms were spotless, freshly decorated and the breakfast was one of the best that we had on our grand tour of Ireland! Free parking outside the door made it extra luxurious!!!
Good location with easy access into Dublin city centre.
Nice rooms with AC which was a bonus due to the heatwave at the time.
Breakfast staff were excellent was breakfast was superb,
We were dropping our daughter at UCD so easy access using the bus. Also easy walk to stillorgan village for shopping and dinner. Also the restaurant was very good with vegan options.
The room was big, beautiful and clean. We had desk space and a kettle. They were not upset with us about losing a key card. Everyone was friendly. Breakfast was delicious.
Location, needed to use Aircoach, Dublin Bus 46a, 47, 145 and 155....Go Ahead S6, these were all right outside the hotel And there is a GoCar base in the Hotel Car Park
Fine hotel in lovely country manor-like setting close to the city center. Room was quiet and bed cozy. Food was excellent and staff very courteous. Great value.
gorgeous property! what you expect when you go to Ireland but super close to Dublin - I actually cancelled my hotel in dublin to move it here and SO Glad I did
