Breakfast and the food available at the hotel was first class.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cahir House Hotel. 1. The location was ideal for our day trips to Cork City, Cobh, Kinsale, Kilkenny always within 1- 1:30hr drive and even closer to Limerick, Tipperary, Clonmel, Rock of Cashel. 2. The staff were very obliging.
This is an hotel run for the comfort of guests (not staff).
Breakfast was an old fashioned waiter service.
The room was elegant and quiet.
The bed was comfortable.
The Kilcoran Lodge Hotel has stunning views over the Golden Vale and the Knockmealdown Mountains. It offers an indoor pool and spa bath, a restaurant, and rooms with free Wi-Fi.

Quite simply there is a dearth of accommodation in this part of Ireland. And pricing is optimistic and enthusiastic. It is difficult to think of any particular reason to visit unless you have a specific purpose in mind. I visited to advance genealogical research- with some success.

The Hotel is very pleasant and quiet despite being fully booked. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Food is without fault. Tipperary Racecourse is well worth a visit and of course The Glen of Aherlow is not to be missed!

Visited a number of towns and villages around the hotel, unfortunately most of the places we visited had a lot of closed business. We also found it strange that a lot of businesses do not open on Mondays.

a great base to stay in. 40m for Limerick city, 1hr to other great attractions.
We had our food in the hotel we stayed at, but should have went elsewhere.
We would avoid the hotel we stayed in.

Ballykisteen Hotel was very good (as always) and our visit to the beautiful Glen of Aherlow was terrific. We had a wonderful meal in the Aherlow House Hotel. We were really looking forward to our annual visit to Tipperary Races. However the pandemic has had an adverse affect on the racecourse with restricted access and a big loss in atmosphere. Facilities are greatly reduced and we were disappointed with our visit (for the first time I must add!)

On recommondation from the host we visited The Glen of Aherlow, highly recommended, with its stunning scenery and spectacular views there were also walking trails to avail of for walkers or to just be in touch with Nature, for a spot of lunch we headed to the near by Aherlow House Hotel, having been blessed with amazing sunshine we were able to avail of their outdoor terrace with uninterrupted breathtaking views of the Galtee Mountains
