I liked the live music in the bars, the choice of restaurants and the interesting shops. I got some lovely birthday presents while l was rambling round the town. Westport House and grounds are lovely, although the House is closed for renovations temporarily. Westport is a good base also for other interesting places in Mayo. All in all, good in any season.

Westport is a small town but has everything traveller could wish for. Loads of great bars and restaurants. Independent shops abound. There s s lovely atmosphere at this time of year. The locals are very friendly and it is a pleasure to visit. Close to the town are wonderful beaches and the village of Louisburgh nearby is also well worth a stop.
Finally Westport is about an hour's scenic drive from magical Achill Island.

Westport is a charming picturesque bustling Irish town situated in the West of Ireland and central to Connemara and Atlantic Way. High quality pups and eateries with traditional Irish flair, great for foodies and coffee shop lovers alike.
Traditional Irish pubs with Irish music overlook the town square and the old bridge which crosses the river where fly fishermen cast their rods. The local people are friendly and welcoming.
This B&B is super clean and has a lovely fresh feeling to it. Incredibly comfortable bed with crisp white sheets. There is a fabulous power shower, with super soft towels supplied. Breakfast was so tasty, huge portions, tea and coffee top ups offered regularly. The hosts were very friendly and chatty and helpful. We would highly recommend this B&B, perfect location for a knockranny hotel wedding. Superb value for your money!

The hotel is situated in the town so you are within walking distance of the shops, pubs, restaurants etc, an ideal location. Breakfast was lovely and had a great selection to choose from. It was very reasonably priced for one night B&B. We will definitely be returning.
We had an exceptional stay in the Westport Plaza Hotel. The hotel was ideally located in the centre of Westport. There's free parking on site. The hotel staff were all very helpful incl. Boris on reception. We felt very safe with all covid precautions being undertaken. Our room was very comfortable & spotlessly clean. Great options for breakfast & everything was cooked perfectly each morning of our stay.
Property was amazing! We were very surprised by how clean, Covid friendly and how lovely the ladies were. Food was gorgeous and property was 2 minutes from town. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. We have stayed in 4 places including a hotel in Dublin, Galway and here and this would be our favorite.
I stayed at the hotel with my wife. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast is excellent with a good choice for the 3 courses.
