Clean and quiet. Host was also very welcoming who offered us to prepare dinner as location is a bit far away from other towns. Great location for those planning to go for hikes or long walks. Location in also quite close to Siena.

I liked that the property was on a farm and that it was environmentally friendly and organic. Being near Seina meant the property was placed centrally and we were able to drive to the likes of Florence, Siena, Lucca and Arezzo all within slightly over one hour and yet be in a beautiful peaceful location for our evenings.

We had an absolutey amazing stay at Borgo San Luigi.
We had an absolutey amazing stay at Borgo San Luigi. The property is kept very clean with beautiful views, Tuscan trees, a pool and large lawns with cut grass to stroll or to relax in one of the many lounge chairs. When we arrived, we were met outside by Jasmine who was so welcoming and friendly. We knew immediately that we were going to enjoy our visit. She was so helpful with any request or questions we had and also to help with recommendations to visit farms and wineries in the area. The breakfast buffet was large with everything you would ever expect from a world class buffet and had a great atmosphere when getting the day started. Mario, our waiter in the restaurant, took great care of us. He is very professional, friendly and helped us with the delicious food and wine selections during lunch and dinner. Jhonny served us drinks around the pool during the day and at night he served in the lounge area which has a pool table and a fireplace. He was professional, friendly and also very funny. The owner introduced himself. He was always on site, making sure that all was clean and running smoothly. First Class all the way!!! What a great stay we had, we didn't want to leave and we can't wait to go back.

Romantic, ideal for people who want to rest in idyllic location surrounded by nature. Olive groves, hills and castle - like taken from the movies made in Tuscany region. Great for people who travel with pet. They organize weddings as well, so if you plan to get married in future I highly recommend this place.

It is a very nice, compact, attractive and historic little town. Good information on it available from the Information office. However, it can easily be seen in 2 hours or less (not counting local meals, etc).

Lovely place to visit / stay.
Lovely place to visit / stay. Some great restaurants, reasonable prices, a couple of interesting shops. Great self service bar where you can buy beers form the fridge, Prosecco and al fresco bread, ham and cheese sharing platters.
We stayed at Castle Pietraio for the first time almost 20 years ago with our then 5 and 8 year old children. That experience was so wonderful and certainly influenced our life-long appetite for similar historic accommodations. We were so delighted to come back to the Castle with our now grown children and experience its charm, comfortable accommodations, and perfect location. This property is such a great value and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to travel around Tuscany.
Beautiful countryside and buildings. Stayed in the hotel rooms which were comfortable, rustic and in keeping with Tuscany. Spotlessly clean and we had Air-con which was a blessing in the heat. Breakfast was lovely and we had home made muffins. A very nice pool area just a little walk from the rooms, just make sure you take what you need with you. Dealt with 2 receptionists who were very helpful and spoke great English which was good because we didn’t speak any Italian
Beautiful property, but far from the main Tuskany attractions, need urgent modernization, old heaters hard to adjust, shower not easy to control and the worst: Never try the restaurant, we had a terrible experience, my soup was not a soup but a bunch of vegetables, my wife tried to eat a stuffed pasta with shrimps on the top, it was terrible, pasta like rubber, shrimp was uncooked (transparent) and with a terrible souce, she couldn’t eat
We stayed here while hiking the Via Francigena. The hotel is right along the path and very easy to find. We celebrated my 40th birthday with dinner at the hotel restaurant - I highly recommend eating here! Breakfast was also amazing, as was the staff. The owners were so thoughtful and helped us arrange travel to Monteriggioni and then to Siena. I highly recommend and would stay here again. Hope to be back!
We loved the breakfast each morning and even when we had to leave early the next day (before breakfast started), Giorgia gave it to us the evening before so we didn't miss out!
Giorgia was so wonderful, as well as the rest of the staff, they provided such a personal experience.
The grounds were stunning, our room had a beautiful view of Monteriggioni and the vineyard. Would 100% stay here again
Stayed here with my wife on our honeymoon. This hotel is an absolute gem of Tuscany! The hotel, staff, and location are absolutely fantastic! Francesco, Francesca and Eric are phenomenal hosts who went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect.
Overall, an absolutely incredible and unforgettable experience.
Would certainly recommend and we will definitely be back!
Everything, especially their Earth consciousness touch and eco friendly mindset.
Location is just perfect if you’re visiting Tuscany. Family owned place that welcomes you with open heart. Comfy bad, huge shower, warm croissant in the morning yummy. And to top it off VIEW We are definitely coming back.
Grateful for meeting Stefano and his lovely wife.
Fantastic place, a bit off the beaten track but you can feel the atmosphere of Tuscany. At the beginning we received the Girafe apartment (if I remember correctly) but for an additional fee we exchanged it for a larger one and it was definitely without flaws, spacious and comfortable. The host is helpful in everything. I highly recommend this place.
The location is absolutely beautiful, very close to Siena and other scenic places in Tuscany. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the patio and swimming in the pool. Stefania and Roberto were perfect hosts, Stefania welcomed us with coffee and gave great recommendations for restaurants and beautiful towns to visit near the property.
Monica our host was very gracious, kind and accomodating. The airbnb was amazing. Located on a beautiful vineyard in the midst of the Tuscan wine country. The airbnb was large, clean and the bed was comfortable. This was one of our favorite stays during my 28 day trek through Italy. I would stay here again.
Great quiet location very close to Monteriggioni. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious! Amazing homemade cake for breakfast, but also very varied breakfast options. People were very warm and friendly and super helpful, giving us tips for the rest of the trip. Clean, comfortable and unique rooms
Nice little cottage with garden for your own disposal. Modern kitchen with washing machine and all kitchen equipment. There is two TV sets and Internet in apartment and in the garden. Nice location for sightseeing Siena and Monteriggioni.
Wonderful retreat in the Tuscan countryside. The location, food, and facilities coupled with the spectacular view made it hard to leave. The staff was amazing and the food was exquisite. A great location to explore Tuscany. A hidden gem.
a very nice location with a big quiet garden, very near the bus stop to siena or monteriggioni. very helpful and nice staff. when arriving from via francigena they ordered pizza and gave us the opportunity to buy a bottle of wine.
Amazing location, close to Florence and Siena. The panoramic views were top notch. Beautiful property and full of medieval Tuscan styling. Large kitchens and plenty of space for large families.
Lovely and quiet hotel with an even lovelier hostess. Jessica was super nice and welcoming, not to mention the delicious homemade bakery for breakfast! I would come back anytime.
Stefano was brilliant, really helpful and always available when needed. Hotel and location were beautiful, highly recommend if wanting to stay in Monteriggioni.
I was traveling as a gift for my mum's 70th birthday present.Borgo San Luigi is really nice place, with nice staff(especially Massimo) and great facilities.
