I had the pleasure of staying at a stunning hotel located right in the heart of the old town, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, capturing the charm and history of the area while offering all the modern comforts one could wish for. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the exceptional staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Every member of the team went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect, making me feel right at home. If you're looking for a place with character, comfort, and unparalleled service, this hotel is a must-visit.

We stayed at the Itria Rooms, not the actual Hotel premises, a few metres off the hotel.
The hotel amenities are very good.
Its location in Ragusa Ibla is ideal/excellent - close to the Duomo of San Giorgio, and the old streets and alleys of Ragusa, and very close to the steps that lead to Ragusa Superiore.

Very good location to visit the Syracuse-Ortigia and the Baroque cities Modica- Ragusa-Sciccly and Noto. We where in Ragusa Ibla, very cozy old Baroque city with good restaurants ( even for Michelin Lovers there where 2 restaurants with stars ) For doing the tour of the Baroque cities you need a car and to driving and parking in the narrow streets you have to kbe not sressy and concentrated. Also good for your work out , there are many stairs up and down in the city.

Ragusa itself is a beautiful town and very walkable, I'd recommend three or four nights to do it justice. As a town it feels like tourism is an 'add-on' and therefore feels very genuine and Sicilian as are the restaurants all of which we thought were excellent. The only downside is the public transport, to go anywhere outside of Regusa we found to be quite a challenge as basically you have to rely on taxis, however maybe the transport issue is what has kept Regusa such a beautiful place so its not all bad!!!

Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily.
Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily. It is surrounded by steep gorges, with the town spreading up three steep linked hills. It's a fantastic place to spend a few hours exploring the narrow steep streets. We found some wonderful shops - intended for tourists, but good value. There were also fantastic eateries and the local people we interacted with all seemed charming and helpful. We ate dinner in La Bettola in Ragusa Ibla, which was delicious and great value.

Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new.
Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new. The old city is very beautiful and interesting to explore. The main street is fun with restaurants, shops and a park at the end with wonderful views of the valley and mountains beyond. We did not go up the hill to the new city however so we cannot characterize it.

I loved Ragusa, the roads are difficult with a larger vehicle but this shouldn’t put you off just research your routes and think about where accessible parking can be found. The new town is interesting but not touristy whilst the old town is a lovely labyrinth of medieval street and lanes with beautiful Baroque architecture. There are restaurants worth searching for and we particularly enjoyed the ‘5 senses’!
We had an exceptional stay at Ad Maiora, totally exceeded our expectations! The hotel itself is an old palace that was renovated in 2019 but still has a lot of quirky character! Rooms are really nicely designed and cosy. It’s perfectly located in Ragusa Ibla short walking distance to most of the main attractions and lovely restaurants and bars. Damiano was a great host, it’s a family run business and they made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was amazing also, would highly recommend!
Host Vincenzo is outstanding, very helpful and clearly loves what he does. Our room for three was comfortable and well-furnished. The Hotel is perfectly located between the two different parts of Ragusa and Vincenzo gave us suggestions of what to see and how to get around the city. The breakfast was the best we've had while traveling around Italy -- fresh items prepared with care. An excellent experience!
The location is absolutely perfect, right above the centre of Ragusa Ibla. Excellent view both from the terrace and from the road. The hotel is lovely and so is the staff, very helpful and friendly all the time. The room is very spacious and nicely decorated, very well equipped with amenities. Breakfast is excellent, includes a variety of homemade sweets and local fruit. Excellent value for money.
lovely hotel in a quiet location in Ragusa superiore. Not a lot of rooms, so it felt really personal. Fabrice on reception is excellent. Good English, I think he said his native language is French and he obviously speaks Italian. Our room had a lovely view out over Ragusa Ibla.
No need to set an alarm clock, the church opposite played the most delightful peal of bells at 8am, wish I'd recorded it!
The host was really helpful and the Interior was clean and tasteful.
The location was close to many restaurants, in the heart of Ragusa Ibla, but also in a nice quiet street. Checking in was easy with parking close by.
Our room had a great view and Diletta our host had great tips on wear to go to eat and shop.
Ragusa Ibla is a must see when in Sicily. It is an absolute fairytale of a town.
It’s a beautifully renovated property in Ragusa, within walking distance of Ragusa Ibla. It was comfortable, fantastically clean, a very attentive staff, superb breakfast. The property has a beautiful garden, a small pool and several patios to relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing. We’re looking forward to staying there again.
The B&B is situated in Ragusa Alta, just act the ravine from Ragusa Ibla. My room was comfortable and had a small terrace with a view of Ragusa Ibla. Each morning. A good breakfast was delivered to my room. It included coffee, fruit juice, some pastries, yoghurt and fresh fruit. The bathroom was bright and clean.
Beautiful property in historical centre of Ragusa, very comfortable, clean, new. You can try local wines for good prices, too :) Big terrace on the roof, the view from it is stunning - you can see whole Ragusa and enjoy sunset… Highly recommended! Very good breakfast. The Best property we’ve had in Sicily.
Excellent location to explore Ragusa Ibla. Staff friendly and attentive. Comfortable rooms. Available free parking next to the hotel (although limited spots available, so not sure if you can secure one in high season). Very good breakfast with plenty of options.
An excellent location, facilities and service, with a splendid view over Ibla. In addition to these qualities, the anfitrian of Intervallo Boutique Hotel dedicates a rare and unusual attention to its guests and to the space and services of the accommodation.
Rosi is amazing. Sweet, friendly and she made our permanence amazing. The location is terrific. Very close to the main square and an amazing view from the rooftop. The room was conformable and cozy. It is a gem in the heart of the Ragusa Ibla.
The room was spacious and interesting, built partially into a cave. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. There was a nice view of Ragusa Alta from the window. Once settled, location was good for exploring Ragusa Ibla.
Perfect stay! We had an amazing time at Salvatore's flat. Comfy, clean and great location. The best view of Ragusa at our doorstep. Delicious breakfast too!
Highly recommend Le Scale Sul Barocco and Ragusa (our favourite town in Sicily).
The best place that we've ever stayed in on Sicily by far!
Luxury standard fora very reasonable price. The check-in process was so smooth despite our last minute booking. The pool was a small piece of heaven on a very hot island.
Excellent location with a view of Ragusa Ibla.
Excellent breakfasts sitting on the terrace.
Really kind and helpful member of staff who looked after us.
