Well, i believe lots of visitors already know that Kuching is famous for its Kolo Mee and must-eat Laksa... so delightfully ubiquitous that you dont have to sweat to find one and the tastes and textures are varied that it might take a week to form a decisive opinion as to which is the best of them all.
Kuchingites are friendly and helpful if you need "snapper".
The city is acceptably clean (8/10) and safe (10/10 during our visit as we did not experience or seen anything untoward: but personal safety is your own baby)
WE SHALL RETURN

Nice city with a lot of attractions in the city itself and the surrounding area. The nicest surprise is the musical fountain show each evening at Darul Hana bridge. We could have stayed an extra night, as there were a few more attractions worth exploring.
We did half day trips to Bako National Park and the Sarawak Cultural Village and strolled through the old city and along the waterfront. Would recommend visiting, as it probably has more to offer than the more popular Kota Kinabalu.

We loved Kuching felt it was a better option than Kira Kinabalu so much to see and you can visit nature parks that require significantly less travel than KK. We highly recommend Kuching the cultural village and cultural centre are a must!

From my view, so far most of Sarawakian are friendly and helpful, Plenty eating places in Kuching and also best to drive on the road because of the space and also the lane on the road is much bigger than in peninsular Malaysia.
I like the parking system at the mall, eco-friendly absolutely good to use to all facilities. For dinner / dine in i would like to recommend for the people to go to Top Spot Food Court for dinner. Plenty seafood you can choose from and the food is absolutely good to try (Malays, Chinese, and Thai Food). Muslim owner also there you can try,
best shopping mall is at Plaza Merdeka, and Aeon Mall Kuching.
Easy access to walk down to Water front, and also plenty eating places around, lots of shops (kek Lapis + Handy Craft / gifts) and amazing view along the river + Sarawak Assembly Building & Jambatan Darul Hana. Nice to go on the cruise as well for relaxing and enjoy the views along the river in Kuching.
perhaps next time i can avoid the traffic jam especially during peak hours.
Location is very good near waterfront and chinese museum. Staff very accomodating and friendly. Able to check in early as long as room ready. This is my 3rd stay in d green during my kuching holidays. I break the stay to go to mulu cave and permai rainforest and bako national park. During these breaks they allow me to leave some of my bags behind. Much appreciated. Bed comfortable, shower very good and kettle avaliable. Free mineral water on 1st day of stay.
Nearby 2 coffee shops with good kolo mee and many other stalls.
The room to comfy and cozy. A bit small but just nice for single traveller. It's a walking distance to Kuching main attraction location - the waterfront. There's a lot of activities suitable for family and individuals. It's just a 1-min boat right to the other side of waterfront to shop for Terubok Masin or Kek Lapis Sarawak. Close by to market and souvenir shops. Those who love walking by the river and enjoy the night view of bandar Kuching but prefer a budget stay, Tune Hotel Waterfront is the best choice.
Major Plus: The staff team is of 5-star hotel level quality despite being in a budget hotel. You can sense the true passion to serve, ever-ready to give the wow. Extremely helpful, always smiling and welcoming. They did utmost to ready the your room before your arrival. Nice to be able to check in on arrival. Room is huge. Bed is comfy and clean.
Location is near entrance of Chinatown, and is accessible to many attractions within 15min by car. Secure and safe with keycard-only lift access.
Having a whole 2-room apartment to ourselves was fantastic - much better than being cooped up in hotel rooms. The location is amazing - right on the waterfront, overlooking the river, with easy walking access to everything in the centre of town. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Great communication by the host, who provided clear, detailed instructions for our stay. The swimming pool on the roof was a wonderful bonus too!
The location in the city centre makes it easy to go anywhere with ease, provided you have your own transport. Getting an e-hailing is easy too. The stylish interior design gives a chic vibe, and it is practically new hotel so everything is still spick and span. Check in was easy and fast, staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, I liked the coffee machine, and a better buffet spread (compared to the other 2 roxy hotels in kuching).
They fulfill my request room with windows. So our room is exactly facing the Ayam Penyet Ria restaurant. We can see the surrounding area. The hotel is really close to Topspot seafood restaurant, waterfront & easy to find halal foods. Very fast response esp the cleaner when our sink is not working. Very friendly staff & giving a lot of info when we asked about looking for food, cake lapis, ikan terubuk & places to visit.
Very friendly and welcoming host. The room was basic but comfortable, private and clean with aircon. Good value for money. Good location in a residential neighborhood (a short walk to a boat which can take you across the river to the waterfront/busy area in the city in a few minutes - you have to take a taxi back after 6pm as the boat doesn't run after then)
Central location, along the Kuching Waterfront and nearby the best eateries of Kuching. Attentive staff although the reception could do better by always on alert and extend their warmth greeting as soon as they set sight on the guests. Warm ambience at hotel lobby, refurbished, updated rooms. Breakfast has and always been one of the hotel’s best feature.
The hotel is within the city center. Easy to move around, access to nearby shopping mall and restaurant. Though the hotel is nearby the main road, the level of sound pollution is acceptable. There is a mini mart down there called LePapa and most of the things that you need for the stay is all available.
The hotel has made various efforts to be more environmentally aware, which is amazing, and a first for my experience in Malaysia. The room was comfortable, and it's peaceful at night. Location is perfect as well, as there are many eateries close by and the waterfront is not far.
Our room package was without breakfast. This place is ideal for travellers without car as there is no designated parking. However, the location is very strategic and for its price. This hotel has the best I have experienced in Kuching. Lovely staff and clean functional rooms.
It's very central, an easy walk to the waterfront, Carpenter Road and Borneo Culture Museum. As a female solo traveler I could connect to many nice people and the hostel staff is providing information about the main activities in Kuching, how to take public transport etc.
The owner of the Guest house is Very friendly. We are feel like home. The room is very comfortable. The hotel is surrounding by Restaurant and one of restaurant is 24 hour. The location is 1km near the waterfront..The bathroom is clean.Good budget Stay.☺️👍👍
The hotel was located at very strategic location. Easy access to anywhere in the Kuching City, especially with Grab & Maxim. The room was clean & quiet. The daily breakfast was really good. Recommended!
The Hotel was right in the heart of Kuching City. A lot of tourist attraction was a walking distance only. A good shopping mall was next to the Hotel too. View of the River at night was very beautiful.
Near the kuching city and having a halal restaurant(24 hours) near this mega in. Every single day their workers clean the room if we stay hear more than one days. Overall this hotel is good.
