Breakfast was fine, cooked fresh and with a menu choice. Excellent fruit choice (cherries, melon etc.), real coffee. The whole place was immaculately clean, tidy and quiet.

The staff were very friendly. Place was spotless. 5min walk to river front. Hotel just off main road so very quite.
Excellent for a couple of nights or a couple of weeks. Will be staying here next time i'm in Nong Khai.

Beautiful garden and location on river close to restaurants and market. Furnishings and art make the rooms unique.
Mut Mee has a variety of room types and prices. We booked a regular twin but the airco was not working well during the heatwave. The owner kindly moved us to a superior twin room. Plus the following day there was an airco technician checking all the rooms. Recommend booking a superior room as they are well worth it for comfort and extra amenities (like water boiler).

It was bigger than I thought it was. Many temples further up in the mountains were definitely places to add to your list.
I loved the views from the Mekong across to Laos, the markets in the town by the river, the night market by the station and of course all the temples were great to visit.
I stayed at the Park and Pool resort which had great service, rooms and a nice pool.

My husband and I stayed the night in Nong Khai on the way from Bangkok to Vientiane and we're glad we did. We took the day train because we wanted to see some of the countryside. We didn't have a plan for crossing the border and getting to Vientiane so we chose to stay over night in Nong Khai - just enough time before noon checkout the next day to have a leisurely dinner, walk along the river, and consult our hosts on the easiest way to get to Vientiane. That turned out to be a taxi to the bridge, a bus across the bridge and a taxi to our hotel in Vientiane. Couldn't have been easier.

Relaxed vibes.
Relaxed vibes. Several places serving great food and fun, busy energy on Walking Street when the market was on (with delicious food). Ease of access to Vientiane/Laos is great but it's worth staying in Nong Khai for a few days. It's also worth travelling a little further west along the Mekong for a very real experience of Mekong river life and villages.

Perfect tourist place with lots of interesting things to do.
Perfect tourist place with lots of interesting things to do. Quaint markets and river walks are highlights of our stay. We hired a car at Udon Thani airport and that was our big plus to explore things around Nongkhai. Some of the places are 30-50 km away so having your car is necessary.
Wow! thank loved the vibe of the property more than one specific amenity, I felt so at home and happy there. The owners are kind people with a passion for nature and genuine interactions. Room was big and bright with everything you need in terms of facilities. Don and Jeem who run the hotel made my trip excellent and I ended up staying in Nong Khai for much longer than I initially expected.
I just stayed at Pikul Apartment for a night but I really enjoyed my stay! It's in the city center and the owners are lovely and always available. They booked the tuk tuk for me to go to the train station and in the mean time we had a very nice conversation about architecture! (The owner's husband is an architect himself)
Overall was a really nice stay!
Lovely clean spacious hotel room with great view over river at back. Ate at restaurant for evening meal which was good. Staff very attentive and helpful. We chose this hotel due to closeness to border into Laos.
Staff arranged their hotel minibus van to Thai border crossing but can do trips to Laos as well.
Quiet location which suited us.
A very nice clean Hotel in the middle of Nong Kai. Just blocks from walking street that is open on the week end. Great breakfast. Bed was comfortable and the shower was first rate. The staff attended to our every needs. Only down side is its a bit pricey for Thailand.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Mut Mee. Not only is it a great location , but it is a perfect place to relax and experience what Nong Khai has to offer.
Laid-back, comfortable room, friendly atmosphere, clean, bikes for 100 baht daily, perfect!
Rooms were extremely clean and well presented. Felt like a brand new room. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located close to everything we wanted and still felt like we were out of the hustle and bustle of the main city.
Nice area of town although far from the river which is the main attraction for Nong Khai. It is very close to the border checkpoint though so for weary travelers its a great place to overnight before heading into Laos.
A standard hotel with good buffet breakfast. It is in a good location for a group of us that travel by our own car, adequate parking space, not far from attractions, temples, river, cafe, restaurant.
Art filled hotel/hostel. Very homey. And cute. Probably the very best place to stay in Nong Khai. With airco and free coffee. Everything just lovely. Unique and excellent esthetics.
Small hotel just right in front of the mekong river. Staff very helpful to keep my luggage free of charge for 2 days while i was trecking. Mosquito net over the bed 😁
Nice guest-friendly hotel with a fabulous artisan coffee shop attached that serves great hot lattés and sourdough bread. Happy smiling baristas are always a bonus.
small hotel right next to to Mekong river, family business . The practice and service may depend on the owner which may different from the general hotel.
