Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike. The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh. We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.

It is a lovely place to stay for one night or two during a Mekong delta trip as there is not so much to do there. If you enjoy long walk, cycling, fishing and good food, then it is definitely worth stopping in Vinh Long on the way to Can Tho. People are really friendly and it is very relaxing there.

Very hospitable host family with a cute yard and lots of nice attention to details in the room. Yennie offers many interesting local tour options, and self-guided tour routes if you want to bike around and explore on your own. Also nice plus on host's commitment to sustainability. Feel water filter system and re-used items in her garden everywhere, very heartwarming to see! You should support this family if you go to Vinh Long

They were more than willing to help get you where you need to go. The attached cafe serves wonderful cakes and refreshing drinks. Each guest get two complimemtary drinks and cakes. The rooftop bar opens at 430pm, and the centre piece is a replica Eiffel Tower. They serve all types of alcohol as well as drinks and cakes from the downstairs Cafe. Bonus, the whole hotel smells amazing.

She is super friendly and cooks the most amazing meals. The best food I had in Vietnam was cooked by Oanh. Also her sister and mother are really friendly. The location is quite remote but I really enjoyed this and you could experience real Vietnamese life. No tourists to be seen anywhere. Also the homestay is not big. There are only a maximum number of 8 people there and you can connect well with them over dinner.

Watch sun set into the Mekong. This place is not fancy, but it is wonderful. It has a chill vibe, beautiful grounds, and a great staff. The small extra effort to get there is so worth it. Nice owner and family. Area is great for biking or hiking on small roads. Pass over the bridge and take the first small road to the right and you find yourself in Mekong paradise.
