The town is very cosy, compact and full of sights.
The town is very cosy, compact and full of sights. You feel absolutely home, greeted by every passer by (and a doggy). Very clean, sea and rich greenery everywhere, perfect transport around, even a marvelous English (ESOL) school "Moving on center"! We enjoyed every minute there, though initially didn't plan staying there at all.

Beautiful little town right on the water.
Beautiful little town right on the water. Very walkable with great restaurants and coffee shops. Not much in the way of shops but we were ok with that. People were very friendly and looked like they love their town. Very close to Belfast so if you’re there for the city it was a great place to stay and rela without being in the hustle of the city. I would definitely go back and next time stay longer!

We have alot of kids mainly older teens and young adults who looked after our 2 very young children at home so me and my husband could have a night away to ourselves I would have loved to have stayed another few nights but we all have work and so do the older children ..... The reason we would have loved another few nights was so we could go exploring there are so many places to go walking around the edge of the water also the trains are very regular so you could have went into Belfast or somewhere half hour away then came back to Bangor to escape the noise of the city there are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from to eat at also ..... We went to a mexican place around the corner from where we stayed for lunch portion sizes were huge and it tasted amazing for dinner we went to a place called Oregano I think .... It's up near the train station and it has thee best spaghetti carbonara I've ever had in my life

Bangor is a traditional seaside town with all the amenities you would expect. The people were all very welcoming to us (English visitors). We hope to visit again in better weather. We had a bit of sunshine during our (March) trip but also rain and cold wind. There are also some other pretty little villages not far away down the coast and along nearby Strangford Lough. Travel to and from Belfast is easy by car or train.

Pleasant seaside town with attractive marina and a good range of shops. Parking seems to be easy (albeit I was there off season) and free. Some bits of town very run down, like many resorts, but mostly quite nice and has been improved. Very handy for city airport and transport links to Belfast are good.

I was only there for one night so it would be unfair to comment too much but it was friendly as I went for an evening walk. Like many seaside towns, its tired in places but there looks as if there is plenty of good about Bangor.
Absolutely brilliant. The staff were helpful and friendly, always ready with a smile. The breakfast hearty and delicious. The rooms, while slightly dated, were absolutely lovely and comfortable. It was my MIL's first hotel stay and she couldn't have loved it more. The views of the sea from her room were to die for. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back again for another stay!
Very spacious, clean and comfortable for our family (5 adults, 2 kids). The location and views are just exceptional. We were very lucky with weather and got to enjoy the front patio and watch the sunset over the water ever evening.
Would definitely recommend and go back again.
Our room was very comfortable and the furnishings were without blemish. The hotel itself is very welcoming and much more homely than a certain more famous one a few miles closer to Belfast. The staff were both friendly and efficient at all times.
Prime location in Bangor. Lovely hotel in lovely town. Excellent bar, amazing breakfast. Reception staff Ladies and Gentleman working at the bar and as night porter are wonderful. Truly hospitable place.
An absolute treasure of a hotel, superbly presented by the lovely Gillian who has to be one of Northern Irelands most welcoming and accommodating hosts. Keep being brilliant Gillian
Lots of space for a family of 6, the views were amazing. The balcony and seating area in the garden were lovely places to sit and take in the views of the sea and watch the boats!

we liked the location of the property as we were only a short walk away from the center of Bangor town center and a short drive from some of the tourist destinations.
