Breakfast was ok, eggs very hard, no hard boiled eggs, coffee awful, Dinner tasteless, Bed very bad, not comfortable at all, room a bit too small. reception fire on blazing during summer....

My friends breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately I selected the fresh fish which was dry. It needed a sauce.

I stayed 4 nights, had a lovely room, the breakfast was great, and the beef casserole in the evening was amazing! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There's a very special atmosphere at Jacobs Well. You can tell that the hotel is much loved by the owners and staff, as well as the customers.

Our room was exactly as seen in the pictures: a self-contained "pod" with a huge bed and incredible views to the sea across a great green field. The pod was very well equipped with climate control, good bathroom and a mini kitchen. Secluded and quiet

Really enjoyed our stay in Avoca.
Really enjoyed our stay in Avoca. You do need a car to get around and see the beautiful scenery. We walked to the Miners Cross a bit of a hike but doable and the view from the top was breathtaking. We had to eat outside of Avoca and chose Wooden bridge which we would recommend. The meeting of the waters is a beautiful location and you can enjoy a pint in their pub. Its a bit run down but it is still a beautiful place to enjoy a drink or a coffee :-)

Avoca is a quaint and tranquil old time town but yet had all the modern conveniences we have grown accustomed to but this take away from the relaxing atmosphere of the beautiful surroundings. It is central too all the other points of interest travellers would be interested in like glendalough, powers court waterfall, estate and gardens. It also is the place we're ballykissangel was set which allows vustmitiers a chance to visit the location of the programme. Its small in stature but makes a big impression.

We visited Glendalough and hiked through some of the trails to the very scenic lakes and waterfall. A car is the best way to get around Avoca to see the sights. We had a delicious bowl of seafood chowder in the pub at the Wooden Bridge Hotel. Avoca is a lovely place to visit.

A stunning area with lots to explore.
A stunning area with lots to explore. The Avoca Mill is a must. We loved Glendalough and also the Greenan Maze. The Motte stone provides stunning views of the area, but it was a challenge to find! The nearby Killmacurragh Gardens were lovely too.
It's spotless; everything smells so good. The view is breathtaking and worth the visit in its own right. The service was excellent; the team actively went above and beyond. The breakfast was so yummy, good produce and deliciously cooked. It's relaxed and the perfect place to unwind for a competitive price.
Everything about this B&B was fantastic. The location is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
The breakfast selections are better than any I have been offered in many hotels. I will be looking forward to going back.
There was a lovely homely feeling about The Meetings. The location was stunning & the satff vwere so lovely. It was near Rathdrum Avoca Redcross & Woodenbridge. Lovely walks around the area also.
The location was beautiful.

Catered for non dairy, which i was a surprising because the previous hotels i stayed in did not cater for at all. So good point there!
