I was shown around the property by a very polite lady who introduced herself as the 'cleaner'. Because of the dreadful state I found the property to be in, I did not stay there and left very soon after my arrival.
The lady who initially introduced herself as the 'Cleaner' (and was very polite and helpful) it later transpired she was the wife of the proprietor.
Nothing further to add.

Fantastic last minute booking and a superb find. Want to tell everyone about it but we're tempted to keep it our secret location! Very peaceful location, lovely setting and surrounding countryside. Really nice place, tastefully decorated.
Food was lovely and a lovely hearty breakfast included - very good value for money.

Breakfast was fab. Thought the hotel was going to be a little bit more modern for the price we paid though but was still nice. Bar staff seemed reluctant to want an order placed for cocktails as he’d cleaned up. It wasn’t that near closing time but he commented on the fact twice and it’s not like they were cheap either!. There was only one other person in the bar so not like it was busy! Lady on reception was super helpful and food was fab. We would stay again but I think I’ll bring my own drinks 😂
