Sandefjord is very much a working, functional port town with good marina facilities for leisure boaters. There are plenty of options to dine out and have a stroll around the harbour/port area, but it is not really big on tourism as such, which is probably not a bad thing. If you are driving, the links to the major routes are easy to follow, and of course you have the ferry port for travelling over to Sweden.acer1United Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Very good location just five minutes away from Torp airport. Also bus are frequent if you are going to big shopping malls. Norwegians are friendly and nice also helpful to tourists like us if we want to go places and need to catch the bus My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Sandefjord. We went out of season with limited activities---a month or two earlier and i'm sure our thoughts would be different. So expensive to live not just in Sandefjord but in Norway. Same price as Oslo---thought it would be better value.

It was about a half hour walk to the port and all the shops. There is also a lovely park down there too with lots of interesting things. There is a supermarket around the corner from the house, which is open every day. We personally found it a little strange to have so many of the owners' personal belongings around but it didn't spoil anything. It was just different but also interesting.

The keys to the apartment were waiting for us in the agreed place. The apartment was spacious, has a fully equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom. Location - intimate housing estate, peace and quiet, a bit far from the railway station. The hotel is a unique hotel in the centre of Sandefjord, if you want to spend the night in an historical surroundings is the perfect hotel for you. It is very romantic, very clean and the breakfast is perfect. I ate salmon and eggs in the morning, and I am Italian so am not used to it! However I enjoyed my breakfast!

He picked us up from the airport and we loved staying in this haven. It was wonderful to see more how locals live, and he made it very comfortable. The property is lovely and has a homey, bed and breakfast feel. Staff were very helpful, the room was lush and comfy (if a bit warm), and the breakfast was phenomenal.
