My opinion is based on my 3 seperate hotel locations, my 1st stop was in Old Town Antalya and a 5 night stop was long enough before moving on to lower side, where were were on the Beach next to every restaurant in Turkey and plenty of cloths shops, this had the best boardwalk and a nice harbour for those wanting to take a boat trip. Our last trip between Side and Antalya was the best of the best if you only wanted to spend your time in the Hotel Resort [Barut B Suites], but as a location it was never going to work.KeithUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Generally nice place to visit with long and spacious beach and long walking alley along the beach. The only negative impression leave the overpriced taxi services, without use of taximeter and all prices in EUR (10 euro for 3 km!!!) In so called "historical center" with shops on ancient ruins feels like all these ancient places were fake.

Interesting town with an ancient village. Lots of different thin gs to do. There are great fishing areas and you can go out for a great dinner at night. The sandy beach is outstanding as it stretches for kilometers. A great place to visit. We were there in late December and it was still pretty warm (about 20°C).alesSlovenia - 10Scored 10
So then on to Side.
So then on to Side. And what is probably the nicest place on the Turkish riviera. Why? Because Side is an ancient city that is still inhabited and is very much alive, both with locals and tourists. On the headland three columns of Apollo's temple still stand. But in the shade next to them there is a lively bar. In what is left of the bathhouse there is a little bazaar, Dionysus's temple *is* a bar. And the more modern parts are on a smaller scale than elsewhere, fitting in with the setting rather than dominating it. Fish restaurants serving the days catch and as much shopping for anyone wanting a bargain.

Side is a great holiday destination that offers a superb clean and safe beach. The water temp. was warm - as good as any Caribbean beach that we have visited. Daytime temp. reached 38 degrees, so still very hot. The resort was busy, sunbed's were difficult to get unless you were up with our European friends to reserve first thing. Lovely pathed walkway along seafront that takes you down into Side town. Great place to wander, lots of shops and Roman sites to see. Also a beautiful harbour full of tourist boats to hire.

I like the overall area of the hotel as well. They have tall, state protected trees all around with a magnificent garden. Food options in general were satisfactory, we usually used the public all inclusive restaurant. It was having a lot of options. But later we discovered that other speciality restaurants that take customers with reservation actually have better food quality.

You also get your mini fridge filled up every day for free, like Fanta,cola,beer and water. Big bottles by the way. The coffee shop was amazing too. Delicious cakes and sweets. Awesome coffee and other cold and hot beverages. At 12 at night restaurant was open for soup,bread , some hot dishes ,cakes and fruit. The room was really beautiful with comfortable bed.

Ali and his family take good care of you in their little stone house surrounded by a nice, calm garden. It is close to all Side Antik Kent and less than a 100 mtr from a little quiet beach. Also several great restaurants within 3-5 min. walk with sea views. This is not a fancy place, but very pleasent. We enjoyed our 2 days here and would recommend it for a short stay in Side.prp1950United States
