We saw 4-5 tokay geckos in the reception area where you can hang out as well. They sell drinks and snacks and they have complimentary coffee available in the same area. Early morning it was nice with the mist in the surroundings. We stayed for one night only. We were happy with our stay and had a very good sleep.

The host and family is super friendly and make you feel at home immediately! She even took us on her motorbike to a place where we could eat really nice food. Such good memories - and really happy it came across our path! Surely recommend this if you want to experience this way (something else than a typical hotel or resort) of travelling through Thailand too.JolienFamily with young children

Not a huge social vibe unless you're lucky with the people in your dorm but you can find that on the national park tours anyway (which the hostel can arrange for you if you want).

It had a working kitchen and it was in a decent location outside of the main area of Koh Tao.
