Everything was just super: breakfast outside, staff, Michael the manager, swimming pool, the whole enviroment. It was about 200m from the beach. We used to go through a narrow street with local Masai-owned souvenir shops. The AC did not work one night but was fixed very quickly. The fridge did not work but that was not a problem.

The absolute best thing about this place is Colin and Leslie the delightful owners. They immediately treat you like family and they’re just good, genuine people. The lodge itself has everything you need and feels like a hidden little quiet corner of paradise. The air-conditioning works great and there was always plenty of hot water. You MUST sign up to have Colin make you dinner! I had the best tunafish I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. breakfast was a multi course experience and I don’t know how we’re ever going to top of the food here.
