There's a table with free tea and coffee on the corridor. The stuff is very friendly and helpful even though they speak little English. They helped me with a taxi to Padang at an incredible low price (I wouldn't have gotten this with any travel agency). Internet is very fast and good. The best place I stayed in Sumatra so far.

The owner is super nice and very helpful. He responds quickly to any question you have. I booked a budget room but he gave me an upgrade to a huge room with bathroom. The house is clean, cosy and comfortable.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom could use a scrub, but always smelled fresh. Drinking water and free coffee and tea were provided. It's located very near the main bus terminal, but not that near so you don't get the noise and pollution from it. WiFi is strong throughout the hostel.
