Balcony is enough big to go out with your m8. I've been in couple places in that area and that's probably the best quality/price ratio there. It's not a luxury hotel but it's way enough to get a sleep, wash, spend some time and meet amazing staff.

Chaweng Terrace provides charming accommodation with private balconies, a 5-minute drive from Chaweng Centre and Chaweng Beach. It features a 24-hour convenience store, a tour desk and free Wi-Fi in public areas. Really liked that it was quiet at night. The whole place was very clean. They arranged a taxi for me for cheaper than other places. I also got upgraded to a private room which was lovely with a massive bed.
