The hotel is a great escape from a busy city. We love the colonial architecture and its comfort. The staff was nice, particularly the restaurant staff who took extra care of our meals. Mr. Brian was an amazing person who listened to our meal requests.

We had a brilliant 3 days at Roysth Estate! It was the last leg on our 2 week trip with out 18 month old around Sri Lanka and certainly the highlight! So many thoughtful details such as a baby monitor set up in our room and placing us close to the action so we could allow Arthur to nap whilst we were by the pool! The food was insanely good and the tea factory tour was fascinating! The staff were all so accommodating and delightful with out son. He was so well looked after and became a huge fan of hoppers and roti! Neil and Farzana were fabulous hosts and made you feel at home instantly- when we arrived it felt more like arriving to a family party than a hotel! The rooms were lovely and the whole hotel has been decorated in such a thoughtful and tasteful manner. The spa was also brilliant- the complimentary foot massage on arrival was very welcome after a long drive! Would highly recommend to anyone, especially as its only just over 2 hours from the airport so makes an ideal place to get over jetlag or top off a trip!

Elepath Lodge-Pinnawala er staðsett í Pinnawala, 34 km frá Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og verönd. Amazing location on the street where elephants traverse to bathe and you have access to this property from a side street even when the main street is closed till 4pm. Staff was pleasant and uograded me to a private room when the dorms were overbooked. Great views for evening bat migration very pleasant stay overall.

Cafe Pinnalanda er staðsett í Pinnawala og býður upp á útisundlaug í 100 metra fjarlægð. The room was quite spacious, very clean and well equiped. Also the bathroom looks pretty new. You can enjoy some fresh air at the balcony. The location is perfect and just across Elephant Orphenage.

Forest Shade Eco Resort er staðsett í Deraniyagala, 45 km frá Leisure World, og býður upp á gistingu með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og sameiginlegri setustofu. My partner and I stayed at Forest Shade Eco Resort earlier this month and we had a wonderful experience. We came cycling from Colombo and unfortunately had a small accident on the way. We called the hotel and they arranged a vehicle that picked us up straight from the hospital, everything went super smoothly and it was absolutely sweet how everyone was so concerned about us (we are fine now). This place is definetely the right spot when you need to recover from a bicycle accident or life in gereral. Our room and the attached balcony overlooked the river and we had a fantastic view! The food was lovely as well, we got the Sri Lankan option for dinner and breakfast and loved it. This place is a 100 percent recommendation and we will definetely come again on our bikes to explore the beautiful area a bit more.

White Villa Kitulgala er staðsett í Kitulgala og býður upp á garð og vatnaíþróttaaðstöðu. Gististaðurinn státar af sameiginlegu eldhúsi, veitingastað, vatnagarði og verönd. What a seriously magical place! Coming from busy Colombo and finally breathing again in the middle of those giantic green mountains. The little house we were living in was the ideal place to calm down, to relax and to reconnect with the beauty of nature. No pool? No problem! The fresh water stream with crystal clear and cooling water (which is 1min by feet far of the accommodation) is way better than every pool we could have asked for. With little curious fishes inside, that will give you a normally expensive paid treatment. In the area are also waterfalls and plenty of possibility to hike. But come with a scooter or anything, otherwise you will depending on tuk tik, which is neither a problem, as there are always plenty of them waiting to bring you anywhere. But what we really loved the most is the beautiful manager, that became within 2 days like a friend. A young well english speaking and always caring, lady that lives with her family over there. As I was sick when I arrived she prepared even an ayurvedic treatment for me, a hot inhalation with herbs of the property. Another day she joined us for a little exploration and acted as our personal photographer. We had so much fun! And we seriously gonna miss her and her amazing property. Her mom is the cooking chef and performs every breakfast and dinner some magic in the kitchen. They also cared for some special requests and I enjoyed all the food they served us sooooo much!
