Our unit had its own private pool, which was wonderful after a long, hot day on the road. In addition to towels in the bathroom, beach towels were provided for the pool. The unit itself was large, comfortable, well equipped and clean. In addition to air-conditioning, the unit had solar-powered lights for load shedding. Check-in was easy and the hosts friendly and helpful. And the views were stunning!

Featuring mountain views, Namakwa Country Cottage provides accommodation with pool with a view, a garden and barbecue facilities, around 41 km from Calvinia Museum. Lovely room and surroundings. Well worth driving there. Comfortable bed and accommodation is well equipped. Solar power which demonstrates you can live off grid in great comfort! We loved the birds that came to visit. Quiet location where you can see the stars at night!

Situated within 1.3 km of Calvinia Museum and 2.2 km of Akkerendam Nature Reserve in Calvinia, Akkerdam Bed and Breakfast features accommodation with seating area. I like our staying here. We didn’t expect such a good breakfast. And the owners of the hotel were very nice with us. It felt safe.
