Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range. driving towards the lodge is a stunning drive. arriving in this paradise valley completes the journey. We were dearly welcomed and felt at ease right away. A dip in the pool got rid of the dust from the drive. a large pool good for some lanes in the morning. We stayed at a cottage. it’s all well equipped. a strong AC will get it cool. although it was very comfortable end of afternoon. the night was cool so windows open and natural AC came in. we took a tour and David showed us some awesome spots. including a view on the giraffes. breakfast afterwards was a real treat. we left feeling like completely spoiled. which we were. it’s hard to compare this to many a standard. it was a 5 star-plus-turbo-A stay. Thanks Rudi and staff!

Boasting a private pool and garden views, Jacomanzi is set in Plathuis. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Such a great find in the Karoo. Very comfortable and such friendly hosts.

Boasting an infinity pool and views of garden, Prinspoort Klein Karoo Stay is a recently renovated apartment situated in Ladismith, 47 km from Anysberg Nature Reserve. Wonderful, peaceful environment, looking onto the mountains. Excellent facilities and very accommodating hosts.

We were on a 22 days road trip over the Dec 2023 Jan 2024. We spent our Christmas at Sipreslaan. This place was amazing. The cottage was extremely well maintained. The vineyard and the mountains are breathtaking. I watched TV and Towerkop Mountain at the same time.

Located in Ladismith, in a valley amongst wine lands, Mymering Wine & Guest Estate has luxurious rooms some with a fireplace. The property features an outdoor pool and barbecue facilities. A wonderful place to stay, lovely staff, great food and wine, a comfortable room and owners who are interesting and interested. You could not ask for more.
