- We stayed in a beautifully-appointed cave room with big beds, spacious enough for a family of 5.
- Önder, our host, was super helpful from first contact and during our stay, proving us with lots of useful local information. All staff were very kind and courteous throughout.
- Great location just a few minutes walk from Uchisar castle, and a short drive from Göreme (we rented a car and there we always parking available on the street).
- The breakfast was amazing !! Best-ever homemade jams, eggs cooked to order, bread, cheeses, and a large sampling of Turkish delicacies (eg. sweet chickpea butter which the kids loved) as well as western staples (eg. Nutella)… and the view from the breakfast terrace is absolutely incredible !
Located right next to Uchisar Castle, Rox Cappadocia offers panoramic views of Goreme and Guvercinlik Valley from its terraces.

It has an amazing boutique hotel experience. The best part was its location which is right at the base of Uchisar castle. More importantly the hosts Burak and Mustafa were super helpful! They went above and beyond to meet all our sight seeing needs and make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best we have had among all the hotels we stayed during our Turkey vacation. Highly Highly recommended!

It was a great stay. The hotel is lovely and cozy. The room was comfortable.
Mehmet if very friendly and responsive person. It was a great pleasure to communicate with him. He was always online and replied to all requests very fast. He helped me very much in organizing transfers and fun activities. He arranged hot air balloon flight for good price and arranged horseback riding. First I had group horseback riding tour, but for me it wasn't enough and after that Mehmet organized private horseback riding with fast galloping for me. That was a great experience.
I also had to work for couple of days during my stay, I made video calls and Wi-Fi quality was good enough for it. I'm happy that I have chosen this hotel, I wish to come back here again.

The tallest hill in Cappadoccia is Uchisar and at the top is this beautiful hotel with amazing views and spectacular breakfast. This will make your visit to Cappadoccia so memorable. Like the grand canyon, you need to see this place that is much more spectacular than even the most impressive photographs. The cave rooms are completely unique and the best views are from the terraces and restaurant/bar so enjoy all of it. Don't miss ANATELEIN CAVE HOTEL! Thanks ANATELEIN for a wonderful stay.

We didn't spend much time here, but easy flight from Istanbul. Convenient for the balloon rides, but not directly in the town they fly from. A preferable location if you want a little more peace and quiet, and enough choices for dining. Lovely to walk around and spectacular views from many parts.

Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of Cappadocia. Our stay at La Casa offered the perfect mix of cave/building and was in a great location. The breakfast was excellent. The close by Janti Cafe is also excellent, highly recommend. One thing to note is that google gets a bit confused with the one way streets, but once you get the hang of navigating in Uchisar, it is very easy to get around and you can see the castle from many of the nearby hiking areas.

It worked great for us.
It worked great for us. We had a rental and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Goreme. If you don't have a car and are staying in Cappadocia for the first time, perhaps Uchisar is not the best option since it will limit your walking distance options of restaurants, shops and tour agencies, we loved it though and found it to be the perfect homebase to explore the region. It seems like some of the more exclusive hotels and restaurants are also in Uchisar so it depends on what works best for you.

Small town area next to the rock castle.
Small town area next to the rock castle. Quiet, with lots of restaurants. The top of the mountain has more shops and art galleries to see along with cafes. Once you step out of the area it is mostly desolated and filled with caves. There is lots of new construction going on in the peripheral area. We ate at the statehouse around our hotel and it was great. A bit expensive but gourmet like treatment. The open air museum is only 10 min away and the castle is right in the center of Uchisar. Slightly away from the crowd of Goreme, Uchisar was just right. The property was close to the castle which made it convenient. The pigeon valley entrance is a km on foot so makes for a great walk. Personally between Goreme and Uchisar, I preferred Uchisar as it's quieter and had more luxe options. Also the views were amazing and we spent quite a bit of time sitting in the terrace taking in the country air.

Uchisar is an incredible small town with a beautiful medieval section that is wonderfully thriving. Clean, friendly, with laid back dogs roaming the streets, and the home of Uchisar castle. Pigeon Valley has its own mystique and overall the town touches something inside of you that makes you want to stay longer.
Everything about this property is excellent and overall it was an awesome experience for me and my entire family. I had my children as well as elderly parents with me and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect and very picturesque. The facility is near to all major attractions in Cappadocia and is at the foot of Uchisar castle which is the highest point in the area. Staff is extremely welcoming and cooperative and go a long way to ensure your comfort and ease. We look forward to our next stay at Dream of Cappadocia .
The hotel is right next to Uchisar castle so the view is amazing and the staff are so kind. Special shout out to Aslihan and Anna for your warm welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast spread is delicious and not to mention the kitchen staff kindly prepared breakfast packs for us as we were going to our balloon ride as well as for our early check out. Would definitely recommend staying here during a visit to Cappadocia as it is more relaxed with parking right in front of the hotel and less packed compared to central Goreme.
Beautiful, quaint hotel dripping with Cappadocia decorations and nicely made stone house. Nestled at the top of the village, steps from the Castle, with views of Pigeon Valley and snow-capped mountains. The owner and staff were very attentive and eager to please. Recommendations for dinner and ceramics were top-notch.
The highlight of our stay was sitting on the terrace next to the wood burning fireplace, sipping excellent wine and local cheese staring at the lights and the stars. It was magical.
Uchisar is on a hill, so the views from the terrace where we had breakfast are amazing and in the early morning you can also watch the balloons as they rise and float. We had a rented car and all sights and attractions are near. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is genuine and good. Our room was a cave room with a jacuzzi, very clean and well equiped. Not all rooms are cave rooms. Some of the rooms have also got views. I recommend this hotel for a marvellouse stay in cappadocia.
We loved the compact architecture yet elegant and spacious rooms setup very well for not too tall people. Remember, this is a cave style accommodation. The killer view from the terrace is worth a million bucks. With the attention given by Mak and her staff, we felt like royalty all through our stay. I wish we could stay longer. They helped us out with last minute departure changes due to flight cancellations, and arranged local transport too. Definitely THE place to stay in Uchisar.
This place is Gold! It is the perfect balance between modern comfort and cave living. The tranquility setting of the hotel and it’s ambience was the best way to unwind after a day of exploring beautiful Cappadocia. The owner, Mr Mehmet, has put his heart into Kistar Cave and it feels like a home away from home. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is a stones throw away from restaurants, banks and tourist attractions.
Breakfast served was a great start to the day.
This is a great hotel and if you are staying in Cappadocia, this will be the perfect location. Great view from the lobby and I loved watching the sunset from the cafe. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. It's a safe place for a female solo traveller. The location is very convenient (next to the Uchisar Castle) and most of the tour companies will provide transport to this place. Also, they have their tours as well even though I couldn't try them. Highly recommended!
For folks who want to stay away touristy Goreme, Uchisar is a great alternative. This hotel is an exclusive property that overlooks natural rock formation, which was super great. You can go to central town in 10 minutes walk but it is uphill, not too bad. If you have a car, then Goreme, where there are lot more restaurents, is a 10 min car ride.
Very classy hotel with great fittings and nice cave hotel architecture. Understated, elegant and classy.
Probably the most beautiful and delicious hotel breakfast we've ever had! We felt a little wasteful not finishing it every day because you get lots of cheeses, jams, breads and they cook you eggs to order as well as cheese bread that is similar to a quesadilla. The day staff was very kind and helpful to set up tours and give information.
We had an issue with our cave room and they were able to come up with a solution.
The property has amazing views and the rooms are large and beautiful. Breakfast is yummy and served in the traditional Turkish style. The staff who worked at this hotel we incredible and extremely friendly. We felt very welcomed and comfortable at the hotel! Also, arranging a taxi to Goreme, activities during your stay, and airport transfer are very easy to do with the hotel reception. I would recommend this place to all!
It has an amazing boutique hotel experience. The best part was its location which is right at the base of Uchisar castle. More importantly the hosts Burak and Mustafa were super helpful! Wow! Amazing, helpful, and kind staff. Location was great - plenty of great restaurants and close to Uchisar Castle. We were able to see the hot air balloon in the morning too!
We loved our suite with a hot tub on the balcony.
Incredible Turkish breakfast. great view, especially from the terrace where they served breakfast and drinks.
Will be recommending this hotel to all of our friends.
Breakfast was superb, exceptional view from rooftop, amazing experience in Vasil Cave Hotel, staff a special Mehmet, he helped us all about Cappadocia activities, Balloon riding, guad bike tour, horseback and daily tours. We loved everything about the hotel. I'll recommend to our friends
This was a great hotel - small with elegant finishes with a quiet, central location within walking distance of the Pigeon Valley and Uchisar castle. Friendly staff, a good breakfast and easy parking. I can certainly recommend this hotel and will rebook if ever in town again.
we’re so glad we chose My Story Cave Hotel!
the staff were amazing, very kind and helpful they were always there when we needed help also we miss the breakfast there - the rooms were so cosy, clean and comfortable 😍
definitely coming back on our next visit to Cappadocia 🥰
beautiful newer boutique hotel with incredible view from one of the highest points in uchisar. The hotel is right beside the uchisar castle, and the view is outstanding. The rooms were beautifully decorated, very spacious, clean, and had super comfortable bed.
Very cosy and beautiful hotel in the peaceful village of Uchisar. Stylish rooms, perfect cleanliness, delicious breakfasts, unobtrusive and very friendly staff. Probably our best experience in Turkey. Definitely recommend staying at Juno, you won't regret it!
The host was very hospitable. Ziya, one of the staff was ever-ready to help and checking on our every need. The location of the hotel was also amazing, right below the Uchisar castle!
Very charming hotel in Uchisar, very well situated to see all the balloons taking off and landing off....
Very close to usichar castle walking...
