I was travelling solo and always felt safe and Heather and Maria were outstanding hosts, even packed me a lunch for my drive to the airport!

The location of the accommodation was beautiful set in an indigenous valley. The room was equally beautiful with its artistic aesthetic and use of natural materials, in a typical Alentejo building.

We adored everything about our stay, our little family really enjoyed our stay here! We even tried to change our plans to stay longer! The room was huge and very clean (there was so much space to go around even with a baby cot there), the view was spectacular, the nature and the animals surrounding the house were great to show to our baby, the breakfast was ideal and very tasty. We would really like to thank Nelson and the personnel of the Monte for their hospitality, everyone was so nice! We look forward to coming here again!

Located in the village of Brejinho de Água do Sul, a 15-minute drive from the town of Grândola, Monte do Brejinho de Água offers apartments with traditional and simple architecture. We thoroughly enjoyed our quick stay at Monte do Brejinho de Água. The owner greeted us and we were quickly shown to our apartment that was beautifully appointed , equipped and located. Nuno (the owner ) could not have been more helpful especially as we turned up on a very hot day after a 60km cycle ride . The whole property shows such attention to detail and the service by Nuno is like a concierge service . He sourced food and drink for us and looked after us like family . Breakfast was good and we were able to continue our journey the next morning after an excellent nights rest. There are some nice places to be locally like a the fishermans docks at Porto Palafita da Carrasqueira and beaches around Troia and the ferry to Setubal is close if you have a car. Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers, the tranquil Herdade das Barradas da Serra is located in the countryside, 4 km from Grândola. Pretty much a perfect stay! Beautiful accommodation and setting, clean, quiet, very friendly, great breakfast, and we loved exploring the running/cycle paths within the grounds. The location was also ideal, being so close to Grandôla and Comporta for restaurants, beautiful beaches and local wineries.
