Quinta Vilar e Almarde offers rustic-style accommodation in Castelo de Paiva. The property is a 15-minute drive from the scenic Paiva Walkways, which provide unique views over the surrounding area's natural richness. The owners could not have been kinder. The lady had my heart as you can tell she loves her property and her garden. This property was like a hidden oasis. It was perfect in every way with an exceptional shower and lots of hot water! We would love to visit again sometime!

Located in a wine producing estate, on the right bank of Douro River, Quinta De La Rosa is a family owned property, 2 km from Pinhão. Rooms at this working vineyard are spread over several levels.

Guests can start their day with a breakfast buffet. A shaded terrace overlooking the river and vineyards provides the ideal setting for a meal. The property’s restaurant, Cozinha da Clara, is named after the owner's British grandmother, and takes inspiration from her home-cooking, with a menu featuring regionally-inspired dishes. Our visit to Quinta de la Rosa was simply wonderful and far exceeded expectations. Our room was beautiful with stunning views and dinner in the restaurant (on both nights) was outstanding. We had an excellent wine tour/tasting and did some fabulous hikes including right to the top of the estate. Couldn't recommend a visit here more highly.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

Beautiful place in a quaint little hilltop village.

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the farm stay's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. Everything. Ana was so friendly and helpful. Scenery was amazing. Awesome experience staying there.

Boasting garden views, Quinta de Travassinhos- Douro Valley offers accommodation with a rooftop pool, an indoor pool and an open-air bath, around 6.5 km from Douro Museum. There is a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Quinta de Travassinhos is a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and get away from the world. The room was lovely, a huge shower, clean + incredibly comfortable beds. The pool area is stunning with an amazing view. The staff could not have been kinder, more helpful or made our stay any better. Nothing was too much trouble, they provided a delicious three course dinner for 30 euros and went out of their way to book things for us. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them and we could not recommend this place more.

The space was very clean and the location in the middle of nowhere but close from the city was perfect

Excellent dinner and perfect accompanying wine choice. The room was perfect and with a great view overlooking the confluence of the two rivers. Spacious and with a separate lounge if required. The staff , Juan , the chef, and the owners could not be more hospitable and made us feel like 'one of the family' . Excellent quiet position with aasy access to paths to walk the dog and a short drive to the railway station.

The property has mountain and pool views, and is 22 km from Natur Waterpark. The farm stay features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.
