Mahali Resort was an excellent choice. Paje is a fun beach town with lots of kite surfers, good beach restaurants and a gorgeous beach. Low tide it’s very shallow for swimming, but great for kids. The pool and games area were fun too. The town of Paje is not very developed. The staff at the hotel were great and I would recommend this location for a nice beach vacation.

Clean, nice staff, the breakfast is good. AC in the room, always hot water. Less than 5 min to the beach and supermarket. I felt super safe all the time. And the Paje beach is so beautiful, white sand and blue crystal clear water even when is low tide in the morning. I recommend this place.

The hotel arranged a tour to Jozani Forest for me, washed my laundry for a very reasonable fee, and answered my many questions about transport around the island. I loved having access to shady lounge chairs on the beach. Best of all, the food was amazing. There were so many delicious options.

Absolutely loved the experience, the room & everything. They will make sure you'll enjoy your holiday. I even prolonged my stay.

Beautiful seaview room no 10, paradise gardens, lovely spa, early check in. Tasteful dinner entertainment. I spent 5 days at Blue Oyster together with my partner and without exaggeration everything was perfect. The location, the room, the beach, the hotel staff and above all the food. The food was truly exceptional and the most pleasant surprise. The grilled octopus on the lunch menu is to die for. If I ever make it back to Zanzibar, I will be going back to Blue Oyster. I also deeply appreciated their commitment to responsible tourism from minimizing plastic bottle waste and food waste, to using solar power for shower water heaters and appearing to actually care about and invest in staff well-being and the surrounding community. This was one of the reasons I chose Blue Oyster to begin work and I was not disappointed with the choice.

We had an incredible stay at Promised Land Lodge. it is paradise. Nice and chilled and good vibe at the bar. the staff are phenomenal. Definitely coming back again, cannot wait for the next visit. Thank you to everyone at the Lodge. We enjoyed the food, the drinks, the ocean, the service and the Lodge has so many lovely areas to relax with hammocks and loungers and a beautiful pool, lovely hot shower. Our hosts were very kind and helpful and room was perfect; very spacious and superbly decorated. Attention was given to every detail, from furniture, room colors, wall ornaments to bathroom style. View from the balcony on the pool and sea was amazing. Fish in the restaurant was excellent and the staff there are masters of their profession.

The lodge is beautifully located at the southern end of Jambiani beach. The water is turquoise and the whole scenery breathtaking. Especially at low tide, you enjoy a huge area with shallow water and lagoons - ideal also for kiting (if you have your own equipment). Otherwise, you will find some schools and equipment to rent further down the beach. The lodge is run by Kerstin and her Zanzibarian husband. Kerstin is very warm hearted and takes extremely good care to make your stay as pleasant as possible. And also the staff is very attentive and nice. We really enjoyed our stay at Red Monkey!

Amazing hotel! Staff is very friendly. Hotel is very cozy, you walk all the time on sand and it has an amazing view to the beach. The hotel is small which is very good, with 20 steps you go from the room to the beach. The food is excelent. Decoration super nice. Great pool.
